UBS Chandigarh offers admission to M.Com, MBA in 6 different specializations, and Doctor of Philosophy. Admission to these programs is based on the entrance exams, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. UBS Chandigarh Admissions to various programs are as follows -

For admission to MBA, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% as eligibility. Admission to all the MBA specializations is based on the scores of the CAT entrance exam, except for the Executive specialization, which is based on the CET PG exam conducted by Punjab University. Based on the scores in entrance exams, candidates will be called for a Group discussion and a Personal Interview.
For admission to M.Com, candidates must have a B.Com or BBA degree with a minimum of 50% or a bachelor’s degree with 55% marks with Maths/statistics/Economics/Commerce as one of the subjects. Admission is based on the CET PG exam, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Life at UBS

Likes

Return on investment is really good, the college is pretty affordable.
Social life, students can really enjoy at PU, due to its environment.
Placements, ubs provide good placement which gives a speed entry in corporate.

Dislikes

Infrastructure, the building are pretty old and can be given a makeover.
Practical knowledge, the subjects mainly focuses on theoretical knowledge rather then practical.
Online presence, the department lacks a popularity it deserves.

Placement scenario of the college, average and highest package being offered

In december of first year the summer internship process starts. The students get chance to work in big companies for 2 months ( may-june) companies like dabur, amexx ( and many more) visits the campis for the SIP drive. In the second year , in month of december the final placement drive takes place where all the second year students are placed, last year average package was 13.72 lakh and highest package was 58.5 lakhs which was offered by trident for HR profile.

Various clubs and facilities present in the campus

Life at PU is good, students get a new experience at STUC ( famous PU spot) students can interact with other department students as well as their seniors. In PU there is AC JOSHI library which operated 24/7 plus they also have digital library which can be accessed anytime. There are many club and cells in UBS for placement, public relation ,alumni relation, environment & health and wellness.

What is the total fees of the course?

The ubs fees structure is very affordable as the fees of MBA general, IB ,HR is apporx rs.60000 for 2 years, and EP- around rs 200,000. Chandigarh is a beautiful city yet expensive if student stays in hostel then monthly expenses could be around 10,000 other wise it can me expensive around 20,000. Ubs offers good placement opportunity, final placement as well as summer internship

Students view on course curriculum, faculties and various topics being covered in the syllabus

The Entreprenuership course is the mixture of financial skills with techiniques of operations and knowledge related to marketing and international business. There the mainly 5 main subject in first year and 2 reseach subject. The faculty members are highly qualified most of them have done MBA or PHD. Students are give research projects to understand the tools such as SPSS, review of literature. In first term there were 2 class tests, 1 mid term test and final semester exam.

What is the hostel allocation process in the college and its associated fees?

Hostels are located in sector 14 of chandigarh, and inside the university itself. The hostels are allocated as per rank basis. The hostels need to he register online and fees and everything is done online. Fees for hostel is 4000 security (for 2 years) , 5700 + 910 per semester fees. The hostels provide the mess as well as canteen facilities.

What is the admission process of the college?

I took CAT exam for MBA procedure, the registration was done online, the students either in their second year of graduation or after passing the graduation can fill the form,around 200,000 applicant filled the form. The process of UBS admissions started with online registration of RS.3200, and we need to deposit our documents for verification. The verification process should be changed to online verification as it will be more convenient.

I applied for other colleges such as Imt ghaziabad, iit kanpur, gim goa. I got admission in imt ghaziabad, but I couldn't clear the GDPI of IIT kanpur. In my current college the students are first shortlisted based on their Cat score after which GDPI process is held and after that a overall merit list is prepared for the final admission process. The ideal cat cutoff is around 91 percentile

The Social life at the campus was very good and lively as the University was big and many people form many diversities were there.
The faculties at the campus are well experienced and trained also they are very empathic towards students. Also they encourage students to participate in the activites which can help in the CV enhancement

1. This college was near to my hometown. 2. The Return on Investment is very high. 3. No, I did not get any rejections from other colleges as I had planned accordingly to get admission. 4. the Admission Process of UBS is same as the other colleges. Comprises with the steps -: I. Filling of Registration and fees. II. Attending the GD and PI Proccess. III. If get selected then the college will call candidate for the counselling.

Admission:

A person needs to take the CAT entrance test and have graduated in any stream with a minimum of 50% for the general category and 45% for other categories. As there is no such cutoff for CAT. The admission process was simple firstly gdpi happened and then a personal interview. A person can simply find the application on the university website and look for the brochure of UBS which contains all the information regarding the admission process including the application form, fees, dates and reservation in detail.

Admission:

It takes admissions through CAT examination and GD+PI round.Applications starts from December and we have to provide documentation through mail, various types of reservations are their for eg ex-servicemen, rural area , single girl child etc which one can view on prospectus available online. The weightage of CAT percentile is more ,but students should also focus on Gd/pi because it really plays part in admission process,so after gd/pi students are assigned ranks and admission takes place accordingly. Last year 1-150 rank holder only got admissions till the last round.

The admission process had a group discussion as well a personal interview. Then a merit list was published according to our gdpi and cat percentile. The group discussion consisted of 20 person which made it difficult to put forward your point of view.

Admission:

Admission process starts with application form which can be seen on the official site of Panjab University. Then eligibility required is as bachelor with 60%+ and cat score card (a cutoff is made on the basis of pool of applicants). Then after clearing cutoff a shortlisting for gdpi list is made. Then candidates have to go through the GDPI process and then a ranking list is circulated and admission is given. The process is simple but I want to see improvement in GD. In my GD, there are 32 students and speaking in this much crowd looks vague to me, it seems very illiterate. Other wise the process is nice and simple

UBS Chandigarh does not offer distance education courses to the students. It also does not offer Bachelor in Human Resource Management course. But it offers MBA in Human Resource Management.

Admission of students will be done post counselling process scheduled after the results’ announcement. And the results for the CAT exam were released in December 21^st 2022. Thus, the admissions are live.

I have a query regarding the minimum 10% criteria, like this year's CAT quant section there were 22 questions and as each question carry 3 marks the total would be 66 and hence 10% should be 6.6 but on website it is mentioned as 7.7. So what should I do if I got 7 marks in quant, should i apply???
