UBS Chandigarh Admission Process 2026

The following are the step-by-step instructions for admission to USB Chandigarh.

1. Entrance Test

   Admission to the MBA programs at UBS is primarily through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs. For MBA Executive and M.Com, candidates must appear for PU CET conducted by Punjab University.

2. Application Submission

   After appearing for CAT or PU CET, candidates must apply separately to the University Business School (UBS), Panjab University, through the official admission portal of Panjab University.    Application Fee:

   • INR 2500 for General and OBC candidates
   • INR 1250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates
   • The fee must be paid online during the application process.
3. Document Submission

   Candidates need to submit a printed copy of the filled application form along with self-attested copies of the required documents (mark sheets, category certificates, CAT scorecard, etc.) to the UBS office, either via post or in person.

4. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)

   Based on the CAT scores, shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds held at the UBS campus. These rounds assess communication, analytical ability, and overall suitability for management education.

5. Merit List Preparation

   The final merit list is prepared using a composite score calculated as follows:

   • CAT Score – 85%
   • Group Discussion (GD) – 7.5%
   • Personal Interview (PPI) – 7.5%
   • The merit list determines the final selection for admission.
6. Counselling and Fee Payment

   Candidates whose names appear on the final merit list are invited for counselling sessions, where they must bring original documents for verification. After successful verification, candidates must pay the admission fee to confirm their seat in the program.
