Panjab University Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the 6th semester, students get eligible for the placement offers. For this term, the highest package offered was 40LPA by Microsoft and was grabbed by 12 students of the college. On average, around 40+ companies visit every year

Around 90% of cs/it get placement every year and placements are less for other branches like Ece, Mech. The highest on-campus placement was around 11 LPA and off-campus is around 21 lakh per annum and the average placement of cs/it students is around 5-6 lakh per annum.

I want to become a software developer at a big MNC. The placement percentage in my branch is 95 percent. Overall 90 percent of students get placed. The average package of IT AND CSE branches is 6 lakhs. This year a student got placed in Paytm with a whopping package of 21 LPA. The placement of PUSSGRC is conducted jointly with PU, Chandigarh. The students of the campus have been placed in reputed firms like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Quark, SML ISUZU, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ambuja Cement, Honda, Wipro, ITC, Infogain, L&T Infotech, HP.

There are 121 students in IT branch and the number of placements in the year 2021-22 is 96 out of 121. Highest package was of 29lpa from google by off campus placement and 4 students got 31 lpa from amazon on-campus placement. The average placement has slightly increased from 6.35lpa to 6.45lpa. Top recruiters are amazon, paytm, deloitte, cognizant, infosys, zs scaler.. Many students get internships but for good companies student generally apply off campus. Some of the roles are data analyst, software developer, web developer.

4 th year students are eligible to sit on placements. The average package offer is 3lpa and the highest gone is 10lpa.moreover the placement depends on the student. They are applied on-campus or off-campus. So overall placement is average.

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.
