Remarks

The admission process is quite easy. The admissions are conducted on the basis of JEE MAIN RANK followed by JAC CHANDIGARH COUNSELLING. The cutoff for the Information Technology branch was 69079. The professors are also well qualified and are up-to-date with the industry requirements.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have 2 minors and 1 major in each semester. The exams are conducted fairly and one can easily get fair marks if he/she studies properly and pays attention in the class. Out of the 2 minors, the minor with better marks is taken into consideration for calculating the overall semester result. Overall the examination system is good. The teacher: student ratio is 1:25 which is quite satisfactory.

I want to become a software developer at a big MNC. The placement percentage in my branch is 95 percent. Overall 90 percent of students get placed. The average package of IT AND CSE branches is 6 lakhs. This year a student got placed in Paytm with a whopping package of 21 LPA. The placement of PUSSGRC is conducted jointly with PU, Chandigarh. The students of the campus have been placed in reputed firms like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Quark, SML ISUZU, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ambuja Cement, Honda, Wipro, ITC, Infogain, L&T Infotech, HP.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college, the fees are not much higher. The University also has tie ups with different banks so students can get educational loans very easily. The college also provides scholarships for needy students with parental income less than 2.5 lakhs

Campus Life

There are many clubs in our college and the seniors are very helpful. Some clubs of our college are Algoders-Coding Club, Shor- Drama Club, Platform Tech - Technical Club, There are many other clubs also which one can explore themselves according to their interest The library is not that big but things can be managed. Proper Sports facilities are also there. The classrooms are well equipped and spacious. Platform Tech Solution is a technical club run by the students and for the students. This club helps students explore various domains like WEB Development, Graphic Designing, Competitive Programming, etc.

Brief About NITJ

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year (7th semester). only a few companies made no offers. I can recall only 1 name Nation with NAMO. highest package in Civil branch was 14LPA. Average is 6LPA. for all branches highest was 42LPA with average 12 LPA. placement % is 60-80 among all branches which is improving every year. I am planning for higher education.

True experience of a SLIET Student

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in Robotics and my parents wanted me to take a core branch. The curriculum is not very relevant but some topics are good and related like modern welding technologies and manufacturing techniques. I think our college curriculum needs to be updated where more new world technologies like AR and VRs should be taught with advance robotics. Teaching methods used are classical I think professors should try to use smart classrooms to visualise the concept to make it better understandable. Exams are moderate level but I think our college needs to reduce exam frequency although we have time but due to exams nearly every month it doesn't feel good.

Peaceful and green campus of PUSSGRC

Firstly I have applied for Himachal Pradesh Technical Univeristy, Hamirpur, before joining Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri regional Centre, Hoshiarpur. I got CSE there, but left because the placement scenario is not as I expected, as it is a new college and still progressing, while UIET, PUSSGRC has a good placement scenario of 70-80% placements and has a good reputation. Admission to this college is on the basis of JEE Main exam and by appling JAC Chandigarh Counselling.
