The tech fests are very good and the profs are good as well
Our clg placements stats are pretty good all top companies like, google, microsoft, amazon, etc.
The hostel and food at iiith are better than at other colleges in india.

Dislikes

The schedule is quite hectic .there will be many assignment deadlines on the same day . assignments are sometimes very difficult which needs topics which we have never been taught till . also plagiarism checks sucks as they are not always correct.
The mess food not up to the mark and some times it wont be nice.
85% Attendance Criteria: Its compulsory for students to have atleast 85% attendance in all the subjects or else suffer from grade drops.

HEAVEN FOR ACADEMIC LOVERS - IIIT HYDERABAD

the faculty, they are very approachable and very considerate
the seniors in out college are very chill, there is no culture of ragging and instead seniors help us a lot

Dislikes

the attendance policy, it's 85% and that is like u can only miss 4 classes per sem

students can go for of campus placements at sant point of time but the college placements for the research students happens in their 5th year there are a lot of companies the visit our and since it being in the it hub we get companies like AMD, NVIDIA, EA, APPLE, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, META and many more we have a special criteria that the companies have to abide my a minimum salary set by the college last year it was 10L so no company can offer a student a package lower than that

HIgh Qualiy Education: The professors are all truly experts in their fields and hence provide world class education. IIIT Hyderabad is especially known for its coding culture. Its a bit rigorous and stressful, but can be managed.

Dislikes

Highly Competitive: The rigorous currciulum combined with highly competitive field can be a little stressful sometimes.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements in their 4th year, i.e 7-8th semester. Well known software companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, Adobe, Amazon, nVidia etc.. Our college has 100% placement and around 32lpa as the average salary. The highest salary in the last period was around 69 lacs. All the 349 students were placed.

IIIT Hyderabad from zero to hero

Likes

The academics is very nice . You get to learn a lot of stuff.
The ambience all around the college is nice .
Senior junior friendship is very nice and bonding.

Dislikes

Too much academic stress sometimes . But it is nice bcoz we are way ahead of other colleges.
Sometimes less cultural activity, but there are many activities.
Sports facilities are there but is less than compared to other colleges.

Placement Experience:

Placement of IIITH is best in country . it happens in the starting of 4th year for single degree student . All major MNC companies visit the campus for placements . Average package is 30 lakh per annum . Almost 100% of BTech students are placed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course is actually quite relevant, apart from the necessary courses like physics and human sciences that are being mandated all across India , as a computer science student I only study relevant up to dated courses over here, on top of that we are offered a bunch of electives that are being updated every year. The faculty teaching the course here has full control over the syllabus and can modify accordingly to them, therefore they often teach us what's currently going on and what will be required for us in the future

Reviewing IIIT hyderabad inside out

The way the academic courses are structured is phenomenal . We are given a good enough exposure of industry work through our courses only . most of the courses are important for securing a job . a lot of practicality is taught in the courses , labs .
The coding culture is very good in IIIT hyderabad .we are made to practice a lot of coding questions via labs, assignments,exams
The placements here are quite better than other private colleges

Dislikes

The schedule is quite hectic .there will be many assignment deadlines on the same day
The semester keeps moving so fast without enough breaks which is quite a big headache for the students

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are excellent in our campus . Our college is often know for for its placements . we have recorded a flawless 100% placements last to last year . and our campus was the first one where apple visited for campus placements . the avergae package in CSE is 24 lakhs per annum while the lowest is 12 lakhs per annum. we have our intership drives after 2nd year and most of the students gets inetrships which further gets converted to pre placement offer.

A place with Great Minds!

I really liked the academics here which is very rigorous. They have a comprehensive course for ECE and probably the best in the country.
The faculties are also good and nice and very supportive when it comes about academics as well as other problems.
The college has a really good coding culture. It is said that IIITH has one of the best CSE course in India and that's definitely true.

Dislikes

There are very less extra curricular activites held in college.
The sports facilities are not at all good. There is no badminton court on campus and also other sport facilities are absent.
There are no proper canteens at campus,also some of them are not hygeiniec.

Placement Experience:

IIITH has a really great placement ,with a record of 100% placements in the past years. The ECE branch has an average package of 20-22lpa meanwhile CSE has an average package of around 28lpa,with all of them getting placed at campus. The highest package was around 87 lpa last years meanwhile the lowest was around 12 lpa.

THE IIIT STORY

Likes

i liked the coding culture, all of us are very curious and supported in coding
seniors are very very helpful and supportive all the time
campus is medium and clean, and has sports fecilities and gym which is all i want

Dislikes

i didnt like the wash rooms much, the wash room though cleaned daily but are kinda old.

Placement Experience:

students will be eligible for placements from 4th year , companies like, apple, microsoft are famous, there are many other famous companies like, face book, google, amazon, and all the top companies you can imagine, they make very good offers, as we have around 99% placement record, highest is around 1.2 crores, and the least is around 20 lakhs for CSD branch, more detail on iiit.ac.in site, highest and least per company are not known to us yet, i plan to join apple, some aspire to startup too, they all are encouraged and are funded too.

IIIT Hyderbad: A comprehensive review after a year

Likes

Nice peer set with hardworking and talented people
Interactive profesors (most) and nice course structure
Good hostel and mess at an affordable price

Dislikes

Complusory value education + sports every alternate day
Attendence policy of 85 % which works out to 4 holidays a sem
Lack of good fests and other entertainment opportunities

Placement Experience:

Placements appear to be good on the outside. But, no one knows the correct state as the college brought in lower paying companies to get the 100% tag. But, in CSE the top packages are pretty high north of 50 LPA. Apple, google and microsoft come to IIIT every year recruiting 10 to 15 people each

The locality of the college. The college is placed in a very nice place (posh) with ISB and Microsoft literally in walking distance.
The college while quite small (66 acres) has almost everything inside it with most common sports facilities, canteens and even guest houses.
The crowd here is quite amazing. Meeting some of the most accomplished people is quite legendary.

Dislikes

The academic rigor is too high sometimes. The constant inflow of assignments and exams can be quite tiring.
I recently learned that electives are randomly allocated with makes no sense.
Sports and HSS courses are compulsory amounting to nearly 8 credits (even more after 3rd year) which again makes no sense if you have no interest in them.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell in our college starts accepting requests from final year of your course only. I am unsure for dual-degree students though. It depends when your thesis is finalized. The issue is the campus does not consider the placements not done its placement cell int its portfolio which makes it harder to decide the final average package.

Professors are really into their subjects what they teach and how they teach is something different.
The location in middle of the city with malls eating places everything.
Canteens are good and also cheap and options are endless.

Dislikes

No lan for first year students with low connectivity on campus.
The water quality should be looked after it gave me some problems when i first came here but you get used to it.
Strict 85% attendance policy is something which bothered me.

Placement Experience:

Placements are exceptional as the main focus stays on research with endless opportunities. Usually every big comapnies visit campus including Apple and the palcements are also good. College claims a 100% placement record which is true i relised it after coming here and there are reasons for it.
