You can say that placements of CSE are better than ECE but to say that to the entire branch would be making a false claim. In any engineering institute you will find the average packages of the CSE branch higher than other branches but does this mean the other branches are not as good? The answer is no. The placements are directly affected by the demand in industry and it has nothing to do with the credibility of the branch. If you are genuinely interested in ECE, then CSE won’t be a good choice for you irrespective of how lucrative the package you are offered. So it’s a subjective matter. People tend to adopt the sheep mentality and flock to CSE just because everyone is doing so and fail to analyze their own passions and interests. The increasing size of packages and international offers has resulted in a preconceived notion that CSE is better. In reality, both ECE and CSE branches are equally good with equally good opportunities, faculties, and education. So it’s advisable to make the decision without any preconceived notions.

Should I take NIT Trichy ECE or IIIT Hyderabad ECE?

One of my close friends is pursuing EXE from IIIT Hyderabad and was all praise for the institute. She had come with zero expectations and the institute as well as the branch impressed her. ECE is a whole different story from CSE wherein you need fundamental knowledge about concepts and coding skills alone are not enough. The faculty pool comprises highly qualified professors who are very passionate about research and adopting modern pedagogy. IIIT Hyderabad has the best lab facilities and modern instruments. Although there is no mechanical department, IIIT is well known for its strong focus on Robotics. IIIT Hyderabad placements are excellent and this year, the highest salary increased by 32% and was recorded at INR 74 LPA. B.Tech CSE average salary stood at INR 32 LPA and major recruiters included Bloomberg, Code Nation, Deloitte, Facebook, Google, HSBC, Indeed, etc NIT Trichy has an advantage of a bigger campus and more experienced faculty. So, NIT Trichy is a good choice if you want a great campus life along with studies but if you want to focus on academics only then IIIT Hyderabad is the place for you.

Which is better, IIT (BHU) Electronics, IIT Guwahati ECE, IIT Hyderabad Maths and Computing, or IIITH CSE?

Rather than giving you a direct answer, I am going to evaluate all The aforementioned institutes individually on the basis of some common parameters like placements, brand name, campus life, opportunities, and alumni. IIT BHU ECE Core placements are rare and students mostly build their profile for software development companies by becoming proficient in various programming languages, doing competitive coding, doing projects, and trying to build a computer science-inclined profile. A handful of students target core engineering roles. The brand value is similar to other colleges mentioned The campus is rather old and might disappoint freshers expecting a good college life. IIT Guwahati ECE Unfortunately, I have no knowledge about this Institute. However, I recommend you contact the seniors of IIT Guwahati for the same. IIT Hyderabad Maths and Computing Usually, MNCs attract top-tier software and financial services firms. If you are a hardworking student, it wouldn’t be difficult to secure amazing offers at top firms. IIIT Hyderabad CSE IIIT H has possibly one of the best computer science departments in the country. You have to do core computer science courses right from the first year. Many students get selected for Google Summer of Code and IIIT Hyderabad has its alumni in top-notch firms. Being highly academically oriented, IIIT Hyderabad has minimal campus life and extracurricular activities. Ultimately, it’s a matter of preferences and what you are looking for in your degree.

What should I choose between MNNIT Allahabad CS or IIIT Hyderabad ECE?

IIIT Hyderabad ECE will be a better option. It offers better facilities and opportunities compared to MNNIT Allahabad. The student intake for IIITH ECE is around 90, while the MNNIT Allahabad CS batch size is around 160-180. So, you will face less competition at IIITH. IIIT Hyderabad CSE average package is INR 20 LPA, according to the recent placement highlights. Located in Hyderabad, it has a huge locational advantage. Hyderabad is an electronic city and it houses more than 1300 IT and ITES firms. These firms recruit more than 407,000 individuals each year. So, you will have great exposure. Which is better, IIT Bhubaneswar for EE or IIIT Hyderabad for ECE?

Although for ECE the placement of IIIT Hyderabad is higher (10 LPA) compared to IIT Bhubaneswar. IIIT Hyderabad also provides great infrastructure and laboratories and have been very well funded for research papers. Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution fees for each semester is 1.8 lakh,which sums to 3.6 lakh for a year ,40k for hostels and 50k for mess,summing to a total for around 4.5lakhs per year. Please note that this is the fees for students applying through JEE mode.The fees vary according to the mode of application. I'm not aware about the scholarship opportunities.IIITH has a really good record of placements,with a record 100% placements so far. The ECE branch has an average package of 20-22 lpa and CSE has 28 lpa average package. The cllege has a really good research culture,thu ]s there are very less internship opportunities available .

I like the curriculum of IIITH as it is different from other colleges in India.

In the first year first semester I pay Rs 175000 as tution fees, and it increases by Rs 10000 per year. The mess and hostel fees combined total 80k-83k per year. There is an Alumni fund programme that provides financial assistance to eligible students. It's a pay-forward scheme where some alumni will pay your fees, and when you're capable enough, you'll pay some students fees at that time. We don't get jobs on campus.

The fee structure consists of a tuition fee which is 1,80,000 per semester and mess and hostel fees 40,000 per semester. There is an admission mode called SPEC for students who need financial assistance. Also from the third year, you can become a Teaching Assistant and earn some money.

The fees have been a little hiked over the years. since it's a non-profit University its fees are much less than other private universities. There are no such scholarships but there is financial assistance provided by sbi loan

Very Hard studies.- IIIT will kill you in matter of studies

Fees per year is approx 4.5L(including everything) with 10% hike every year. Fees of IIIT H is very very high as compared to Government colleges. The reason is moslty because its completely private with no government aid like IITs. Its definetly not affordable by general middle class public. There are no scholarship oppurtunities in the college except for some financial aid given for lower middle class public. There is SBI bank situated inside the campus which offers college loans which can repaid after you get placement from college or you make make for some other student's fees. I am currently in UG1 so I dont have any idea about Jobs

Academics are a bit stressful,because of many assignments a week
Mandatory sports and some subjects like value education,arts which waste a good percent of time of student

Campus has a very good placement scenario.Average package here is almost equal to that of top iiits. I didn't require financial assistance but student loan is easily available. After every year there is hike in fees about 15k

The tuition fee is the same for each year. Most of the study resources are available on campus to buy/borrow. There are no scholarships for the tuition fee, but a waiver of 25% is applicable for female students. There are, however, various scholarship programs one can avail of on a merit basis while on campus.

The tution fee remains more or less constant at 360000 p.a. Living cost is approximately 7500 per month, IIITH being a fully-residential campus. The tution fee is higher than most colleges considering no funding from the government and the facilities on campus. A tuition-fee waiver of 25% for girl students is available. Any applicant can also avail of the SBI scholar loan scheme. A pay-it-forward scheme exists which is discussed on the official website. From the 3rd year onwards, one can apply for a TAship on campus with a stipend.
