The campus placements are excellent in our campus . Our college is often know for for its placements . we have recorded a flawless 100% placements last to last year . and our campus was the first one where apple visited for campus placements . the avergae package in CSE is 24 lakhs per annum while the lowest is 12 lakhs per annum. we have our intership drives after 2nd year and most of the students gets inetrships which further gets converted to pre placement offer.

IIITH has a really great placement ,with a record of 100% placements in the past years. The ECE branch has an average package of 20-22lpa meanwhile CSE has an average package of around 28lpa,with all of them getting placed at campus. In IIIT Hyderabad 2022 placements, the highest package of INR 74 LPA was offered.

Every company has its own way of breaking down the CTC components. So, CTC and in hand salary aren’t directly correlated.

For example, Microsoft offers a CTC of 44 LPA but the base salary is somewhere around 13-14 LPA. Codenation, on the other hand, offers 33.5 LPA with a base salary of 25+ LPA.

This doesn’t mean that Microsoft isn’t paying what it offered. Brands like Microsoft, Google, etc. offer lots of perks and employee benefits. These are included in the CTC. On the other hand, startups offer more cash and lesser perks.

Investment banks like Goldman Sachs or Tower Research also pay a large portion of the promised CTC as in-hand salary. Atlassian offers a CTC of 52 LPA, but the in-hand salary is less than that of Goldman Sachs whose CTC is between 32-35 LPA.

So the graduates of IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Hyderabad, or any other college will get an in hand salary depending on the recruiting company.

Firstly, your mode and time of admission do not affect your placement opportunities at all. That being said, IIIT Hyderabad has an excellent placement scenario that is increasing every year.

IIIT Hyderabad placements 2022 recorded placement of 392 out of 400 students.
The highest salary witnessed an increase of 32% when compared to the previous year and was recorded at INR 74 LPA
B.Tech CSE average salary stood at INR 32 LPA.
Students were placed in a number of sectors including Core Engineering industries, Software / IT Industries, Banks, Consultancy Firms, SaaS, R&D laboratories, and Academic Institutes.
Top recruiters included Bloomberg, Code Nation, Deloitte, Facebook, Google, HSBC, Indeed, Intuit, Jio, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Samsung, Swiggy, TCS, Uber, Walmart, Unacademy, Persistent, etc.

On an ending note, I would like to comment that placements shouldn't be the sole criteria for evaluating an institute as it is just one out of many aspects. Coders at IIIT Hyderabad are experts in their field which is why IT giants like Apple are choosing its campus for placements over well known IITs and NITs.

At IIIT Hyderabad, CSE/ECE students study topics specific to their course since the 1st semester itself. In IITs and NITs, however, CSE/ECE students start focusing on their particular field from the 2nd year. First year students remain busy with Chemistry, Engineering drawing, etc. which are of no use in their branch.

Brand name is secondary and thus, IIIT Hyderabad students, because of their enhanced expertise in coding, etc. are getting offers from brands like Apple.

Placements for MSIT programs at IIIT Hyderabad are not that great. The placement packages and profiles offered in the placement drive do not match the skill you learn in the program. If you are choosing these programs only because of placement, it will be better to consider other options. I know a little bit about this program as I have some friends who are pursuing it.

MSIT program at IIIT Hyderabad is project-oriented. If you are from CSE from your B.Tech or BE then there are options for good placements in reputed MNCs.
MSIT faculty is different from the general faculty of IIIT Hyderabad for MTech or MS.
However, the management and the placement officials are not that cooperative for placements.

So, consider all these factors carefully and talk to the students pursuing the course if necessary, before making any decision. Hope it helps.
