the faculty, they are very approachable and very considerate
the seniors in out college are very chill, there is no culture of ragging and instead seniors help us a lot

Dislikes

the attendance policy, it's 85% and that is like u can only miss 4 classes per sem

so I choose this college over other colleges because of the comparatively smaller batch size wrt other colleges and also because of the research driven curriculum that is followed i also applied to iisers but since I had a knack for computer science i choose this college there saare a lot of ways to enter but i came in through the ugee mode its an exam conducted by the college only where there a written test and then u r shortlisted and then there's an interview of the shortlisted student and after that u get a rank and according to that rank u get a branch alloted i got AIR 75 and the topmost and the most sought after branch CSD

Most of the faculty are experienced and explain theory concepts clearly.
Campus life like festivals, tech fests and clubs make it easy to interact and build friendship.
Infrastructure of the classrooms, labs and libraries are well- maintained

Dislikes

Wi-Fi can be very slow in most of the times and there should be no Wi-Fi in open areas.
Most internship opportunities can be provided and industrial visits.
Most of the times theory concepts will be explained and some outdated parts in the syllabus could be updated

Admission:

I got confirmed admission at IIIT Hyderabad. I thought faculty has experienced, supportive faculty with a good mentor system. Strong placements records with good companies visiting the campus. Motivated and supportive classments, good coding culture.

You get to meet great brains as CIE is in the campus

The quality of food in the mess is not that great
The work pressure is beyond words and imagination
Eighty five percentage attendance is mandatory

It's best of what is available, I got opportunity from other colleges as well but the product design and management is one of the kind and it's not available anywhere else,so it's a perfect program for my meeda

Teachers are friendly and helps the students a lot.
The courses are good and explain in a step by step where students can understand easily.

Dislikes

Some of the courses will be tough and students might get more stressed
Due to the high fees i might be hard for some students
The college focus mostly on technology courses even there are other courses

Admission:

For the eligibility for the students will be based on the previous studies high school or degree based the you course selection. There will be a entrance exam called PGEE or anther way is to get in is your JEE-MAINS score.. The exams can bee challanging so the students need to prepare well for the exams. I think there is no need for Improvement in the admission process.

Likes

The campus has a wonderful environment with garden, trees and very cool environment.
My engagement with campus life is very good we all the fecilities and having all the needs a student need.
The faculty at this college are well trained and has good experience at their particular subject.

Dislikes

The hostel management is not well structured.
The mess food not up to the mark and some times it wont be nice.

Admission:

The admission process include, the students must get 99% in JEE and JEE Advance to get admission in BTECH and to get MTECH admission studentsd should clear their BTECH and should get 90% above percentage in GATE. Their are 6 years integrated courses and their admission process also same. Their will be a entrace exam conducted by admission management based the exam results also their will be admissions carried out.

HIgh Qualiy Education: The professors are all truly experts in their fields and hence provide world class education. IIIT Hyderabad is especially known for its coding culture. Its a bit rigorous and stressful, but can be managed.

Dislikes

Highly Competitive: The rigorous currciulum combined with highly competitive field can be a little stressful sometimes.

Admission:

There are different modes of admission in our college like Jee rank, 12th standard marks, etc. There is also a mode for students from foreign countries. You can find all the details about it from www.iiit.ac.in. There are no reservations based on caste. The admission process is a little bit hectic since you have to pay around 2 lacs if you have a course and have to wait for other rounds for upgradation. Also, there is 20,000 rupees as an initial admission cost.

The academics is very nice . You get to learn a lot of stuff.
The ambience all around the college is nice .
Senior junior friendship is very nice and bonding.

Dislikes

Too much academic stress sometimes . But it is nice bcoz we are way ahead of other colleges.
Sometimes less cultural activity, but there are many activities.
Sports facilities are there but is less than compared to other colleges.

Admission:

there are mainly 3 admission ways , UGEE JEE and DASA . UGEE takes admission of dual degree students whereas JEE can enter through single degree . DASA is for student abroad . we also have SPEC which is for underpriveleged students . Students also enter through olympiads .

There are various modes of admission, the mode I took was jee mains. The cutoff for computer science was AIR 2000 in my year. The admission form is available on the official site of the college. Apart from gender reservation there aren't any other reservation.

The way the academic courses are structured is phenomenal . We are given a good enough exposure of industry work through our courses only . most of the courses are important for securing a job . a lot of practicality is taught in the courses , labs .
The coding culture is very good in IIIT hyderabad .we are made to practice a lot of coding questions via labs, assignments,exams
The placements here are quite better than other private colleges

Dislikes

The schedule is quite hectic .there will be many assignment deadlines on the same day
The semester keeps moving so fast without enough breaks which is quite a big headache for the students

Admission:

we have 7 modes of admisiions for undergraduates . 1. JEE : admisiions are based on jee main scores .the cutoffs are generally very high artound 99.8-99.9 percentile in jee mains . through this we can get only in single degree courses like CSE,ECE .it has 100 seats in each course. 2. SPEC : students enrolled in 6 year integraed btech program aftyer 12th and jnv students are eligible . they have to clear one written test(MCQS) SUPR and then qualify interview to get seat. has 15 seats each in CSE,ECE. 3. DASA : the applicant must hold a foreign passport and admission is made through SAT scores .the cutoff is generally around 1550-1600. 4. UGEE : this is for dual degree . they have to clear written exams in 2 stages SUPR + REAP . thereafter, qualify the interview round to get a seat . 5. LEEE : students already enrolled in btech and are in currently 4th semester can apply to continue btech from iiit hyderabad from ug2 . they have to clear written test and interview. 6,7:OLympiad ,BOARDS.

A place with Great Minds!

I really liked the academics here which is very rigorous. They have a comprehensive course for ECE and probably the best in the country.
The faculties are also good and nice and very supportive when it comes about academics as well as other problems.
The college has a really good coding culture. It is said that IIITH has one of the best CSE course in India and that's definitely true.

Dislikes

There are very less extra curricular activites held in college.
The sports facilities are not at all good. There is no badminton court on campus and also other sport facilities are absent.
There are no proper canteens at campus,also some of them are not hygeiniec.

Admission:

The admission process was done online,the payment of fees as well as documents submission. We needed to get some documents verified at the first day of college. The cutoff for CSE was 1687 rank in jee mains while for ECE it was around 4200. This is the cutoff for male category. The admission portal wasn't good,it was a little bit difficult to handle it. Also I did not like their administration team. It was very difficult to contact them. I had a great difficulty in this aspect of administration,as I had many doubts .

It’s wrong to say that IIIT Hyderabad Cutoff has its cutoff more than NITs when NITs are the ones who are lowering the cutoffs with each passing year. IIIT-Hyderabad has been maintaining its standard from the beginning. Here are a few reasons why IIIT Hyderabad has high cutoffs

Unlike IITs and NITs, IIITs have no reservations, and admission is done on the basis of merit only.
No board marks for admission procedure
IIIT Hyderabad has built a strong image in terms of placements, academic and research work.
IIIT Hyderabad has a very ideal batch size and always gives preference to quality over quantity.

There is no such proof that the standard at IIT Hyderabad is going down. However, there is proof of their consistency, you can check the round one cut-off of each year below:
