IIIT Hyderabad Part-Time Admission 2025 Open for MS Research @iiit.ac.in, Apply by Nov 23; Check Direct Link

International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad is accepting applications for part-time industry-sponsored Masters of Science (MS) by Research. Interested candidates must apply by November 23, 2025, at iiit.ac.in.

Any working professional from the tech industry with a minimum of one year of experience is eligible to apply for MS Research. Later, it will get converted to a regular MS admission after a semester, when two courses are completed and a thesis project idea is in place.

The MS program duration is 2.5 -3 years, with a fee of INR 1 lakh per course. The thesis is considered equivalent to 6 courses, so the total program fee is around INR 12 Lakhs.

IIIT Hyderabad MS Program Structure

The MS Research program at IIIT Hyderabad consists of four courses, two mini projects, and a thesis. Four courses can be taken any time during the 2+ years and concurrently with the thesis project. Candidates enroll in individual courses, just one course per semester. Candidates can enroll in one course per semester from the regular UG and PG curriculum, along with full-time students.

One Mini project to be taken early to help scope the thesis project. Later, an additional project or a course may be taken in its place.
