IIIT Hyderabad PG/PhD Fee Structure 2026 Released; Check Tuition Fee Here

International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad has released the PG and PhD fee structure for the academic year 2026–27. The announcement covers M.Tech, MS by Research, and Ph.D. programmes, along with details about monthly stipends and financial assistance.

While M.Tech tuition fees are yet to be announced, stipend details for research programmes have been clearly specified. Students must also pay separate hostel and mess charges semester-wise before the start of each term.

IIIT M.Tech, MS and Ph.D. Programmes Fees 2026-27

IIIT Hyderabad has published the tuition fee and stipend structure for full-time PG and research students. The detailed breakdown is given below.

Students admitted to the Master of Science by Research programme will receive Rs. 16,000 per month during the first semester. From the second semester onwards, the stipend will range between Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 16,000 per month, depending on the student’s academic performance and research area.

The institute has clearly stated that continuation of the stipend depends on satisfactory academic and research progress.

All full-time Ph.D. and MS by Research students are provided financial assistance in the form of a stipend during the first semester. This support will continue throughout the programme if the student maintains consistent academic and research performance.

Normally, students are required to contribute 20 hours of academic or research work per week to receive full financial assistance.

Apart from tuition fees, students must pay hostel and mess charges separately. The hostel charges are approximately INR 6,000 per month, while the mess charges are around INR 5,000 per month. These charges must be paid semester-wise before the start of each semester.

Candidates applying for M.Tech, MS by Research, or Ph.D. programmes should regularly check the official website for updates on admission schedules, selection lists, and document verification.

After selection, students must complete the fee payment, hostel registration, and document submission within the given deadline to confirm admission.
