Campus Life

  • NTU has 3 main campuses:
  • City Campus (where I studied – home to journalism, business, art & design)
  • Clifton Campus (mostly science, education, and sports)
  • Brackenhurst Campus (focused on animal, environmental and rural sciences)
  • The City Campus had everything I needed — a modern library, state-of-the-art media labs, radio/TV studios, editing suites, journalism equipment, fashion and design halls, and even sports facilities close by.
  • The NTSU (Nottingham Trent Students’ Union) organised tonnes of events — freshers’ week, career fairs, open mic nights, cultural mixers, mental health campaigns, etc. There were also many active clubs and societies: drama, media, sports, debate, and even niche interest groups like film and true crime.
  • To be honest, I didn’t get deeply involved in all of them, but there was definitely something for everyone. The vibe was inclusive and always buzzing.

Fees

  • It was broken into four parts and was all covered by the Education loan. Total 15 lakhs; after a 50 percent scholarship, it was 7.5 Lakhs which is the minimum amount of loan you have to take. SBI covered that in four halves, in 3-month intervals.
  • Housing was 4884 GBP which we paid from home. Monthly expenses were around 200 to 250 GBP which I earned from working part-time with the Josh app (an Indian app) remotely.

  • There are 2 campuses. City campus and clifton campus. The Clifton campus is far better than the city one i did. It was extremely spacious. But unfortunately it was only for engineering departments so I had to study in the city campus.
  • More accessible to entertainmeent places but still the location was always crowded, which made it a bit uncomfortable but the campus itself was extremely good.

Fees

  • Total course fees were 18000 GBP. 3000 GBP was an advance and a one-time payment upon attending induction. It was yearly fees. Living in sheffield and commuting to Nottingham, my travel expenses were 120 GBP per month. Rent in sheffield was 500 GBP per month. Groceries, entertainment, etc., cost another 300-400 GBP. I would say 1000 GBP per month is more than enough to live comfortably. If on a budget, we could do 800 GBP too.

  • Nottingham Trent University has three campuses: the Clifton campus, approximately four miles south of Nottingham; the City site, situated in the very centre of Nottingham; and Brackenhurst campus, near Southwell.

  • Besides Gym, Football ground, hockey ground, basketball ground, wall climbing, indoor futsal arena, badminton court and various other sports rooms

  • Varsity Games were quite unique and popular every year.

Fees

  • For me, an international student, tuition fee was £11,000
  • Accommodation fees would vary based on how close to the city centre the Flat or house was located. My accommodation expenses came up to £6,000 per year. This included utility bills as well.
  • Food expenses ranged from £200 to £300 per month.
  • At Nottingham Trent University, Tuition and Accommodation fees can be paid in instalments of three months every year for the entirety of the course.
  • You also have the option of paying the full amount of the tuition and accommodation fees.
  • Monthly rent was £130 (including utility bills), food expenses £200 to £300
  • Please note! Laundry can be very costly so maybe get a bucket and hand wash if you can and/or want to save money! Using Laundry Machines (such as, Washing Machine, dryer, iron for press) costed £20 to £30 per month
  • The transportation cost for the bus (because I only used the bus throughout my time at NTU) came to £21 per month. I had purchased a bus card for a public bus line which cost £250 for one year and that way I got unlimited travel allowance inside Nottingham.
  • Please note! If you are live within campus accommodation but your particular accommodation flat was situated more than 6 miles away from the campus then you would receive that same bus line card for free (it will be included in the cost of the accommodation)

  • My Uni in Particular had 2 campuses, one being the city campus and the other one being the Clifton campus.
  • City campus was my favorite because of it being located right in the heart of the city but infrastructure wise i felt the clifton campus was no less.
  • The city campus had a student union for sports and facilities and it was very well built up, providing students a space to practice, learn and grow on their skills

Fees

  • My course fee was £15000, but i had also received a scholarship of £3000 so had to pay only £12000 as tuition in two installments and overall living expenditure for the entire academic year added to another £12000 which was paid by family.
  • I would also work part time to pay for my everyday expenses like food/ groceries, travel, going out over the weekend and other miscellaneous expenses

  • My university has 3 campuses. My library is also one of the landmarks of Nottingham, making it very famous. It is easily accessible and has its own Starbucks, making it attractive to students. It also has its own GP services, and NTU Sports is one of the best programs in the UK. Mine was a city campus, which means it connected to the main attractions of the city.

Overview

I chose this university as it ranked amongst top 10 in arts in UK. My overall experience is a learning path for me evolving gradually and learning. Career opportunities is hardly any if you do not make contacts. Achieving good marks and passing will not help unless you make industry contacts.

  • We have 3 campus. Everything is available in campus and accessible any time. Library is open 24/7 and rest best transport. Good food. Best in the UK for events.
  •  I studied at city campus. You need to make sure you follow instagram pages of university where all the events which will happen the next will will be shared via story so you keep updated. Also there is global lounge where you get the details of all the upcoming events and we have a seperate building for student which is student union you can find all the details of events happening over there. There will always be a board put for upcoming events in campus so people are aware of it.
  • You can access gym on students discount and can take yearly membership at cheapest prices. Also be a part of various groups via instagram and also be a member of sports team and can access various sports and get all track of sports activity through sports app.
  • All culture events are celebrated at NTU. We have music festivals, theatre festival, arts festivals. You will have to be part of all the community on their instagram page to keep a track of all events happening within the campus and univeristy.
  • Univerity has their own buses which provide you free transport from one campus to another for the students.

Overview

I chose this university as the academic reputation of NTU is great for my course of study, and the city itself is extremely student-friendly. It was extremely easy for me as an international student to indulge in university activities and eventually, I fell in love with the city.

Campus Life

It's no doubt the best university in all these expects. We recently added two new colleges to our university out of which one was a new and upgraded business school. NTU is known for its lively campus events, including popular campus fests, clubs, and events. Not only this, the university provides excellent facilities across its campuses.

Overview

I absolutely loved living in Nottingham and being a part of NTU. I chose it because of the CIPD qualifications along with my degree which was only at NTU. Overall student life and campus were fun. They have many welcoming activities which is great to learn about the city and other peers.

We had 3 campuses each for different fields. Ntu is known for its freshers event which is around for 2 weeks and we have good infrastructure. As for sports, yes we can enroll into whichever extra curriculum we want to. Football- tennis or we can also book sessions to play which is interesting and for library I think it was great as we also had study rooms with computers to use and also had facilities to take laptops in case we lost ours.

You can check your academic eligibility requirements if you're applying for undergraduate studies directly from high school. However, you can explore the Trent University courses to learn more about the curriculum, fees, and other details.
