What Students Say?
Likes
- I liked their international support team for whatever issues students face they respond to it.
Dislikes
- What I dislike is less placement support
I absolutely loved living in Nottingham and being a part of NTU. I chose it because of the CIPD qualifications along with my degree which was only at NTU. Overall student life and campus were fun. They have many welcoming activities which is great to learn about the city and other peers.
Course Curriculum
Overall it was good but I felt they should have added more technology-related content which is used in corporate rather than just management. And we had a project at the end of our year for real companies to solve their problems so that we have experience working with UK companies.
Exams
- IELTS 6.5 and above. For me I did better in my 10th and 12th English so IELTS wasn’t mandatory for me. - 10th CBSE - 83%; 12th- 75%; Mumbai university BMS- 80% - Requirements: Ya, I had to write SOP and 2 LORs from professors to show why I have chosen this university and course and how it is related to what I do now and my aspirations. Also, I had an interview with the international team who verified applications.
Placement
I’m not sure about this. But many companies did come for jobs fairs at NTU.
Fees
17500 pounds for a Masters program
Faculty
All faculty members had their PhD and they had many years of industry experience and yes they can help us through referrals. For me my favourite faculty was James. He taught one of the modules and I was not sure about what to write as in topic for my dissertation which was supposed to be related to the live project we did with the company, I booked a meeting with him and he helped me out based on my understanding and experience… and this was really helpful as a international student.
Campus Life
We had 3 campuses each for different fields. Ntu is known for its freshers event which is around for 2 weeks and we have good infrastructure. As for sports, yes we can enroll into whichever extra curriculum we want to. Football- tennis or we can also book sessions to play which is interesting and for library I think it was great as we also had study rooms with computers to use and also had facilities to take laptops in case we lost ours.
Hostel
I had a studio in the city centre near to the university. And it was £180 per week. And you have to pay a security deposit which also includes your 1-2 months' rent initially.
