I chose this university as it ranked amongst top 10 in arts in UK. My overall experience is a learning path for me evolving gradually and learning. Career opportunities is hardly any if you do not make contacts. Achieving good marks and passing will not help unless you make industry contacts.

Course Curriculum

5

  • Well not relevant to subject which I chose. You do not get much exposure in luxury industry. You get experience and good exposure of standard international fashion management course.
  • Course has 3 Terms you have to pass in each of each term to be able to clear your final exams. Modules changes every year in each term. For me it was different module than last year. Latest module and credit score will be mentioned on official website of university under the course name.
  • Practical teaching were adobe sessions which comes in term 2 of the module. It totally depends on the module and what you choose.
  • In term 2 there are 4 modules and we have to choose any 2 and accordingly you will get to know what are your classes timings and activity and task for the chosen module.
  • Term 3 is personal project which is totally a topic you yourself choose for your final project.
  • It is not difficult to study but they mostly teach online. Practicals are there depending on module you choose but you get hardly a week time to learn. They expect professional level of learning in a week which is impossible. You get less time to prepare before you give your final submissions. So you need to make sure you work daily on whatever learning outcomes are given.
  • Online Lectures are recorded so you can visit anytime and view it if you missed any lecture.
  • Course was not helpful to build career in the chosen subject but you can always try your best.

Faculty

5

  • Teachers are very friendly. They approach each and every student. Feels like home. There is a lot to learn from each teachers. Every individual had their own way of teaching.
  • Amy Johns was my course lead and also she was my mentor for my final project. She guided me with all the help which she can and always provided me feedback when asked about improvement area and opportunities. She is very friendly.
  • Student ratio totally depends on the number of students who enroll for each subject a year. It changes every year. But for my course we had 58 students and 1 course leader. But as I said the modules are mixed so we get teaching from every faculty.

Campus Life

7

  • We have 3 campus. Everything is available in campus and accessible any time. Library is open 24/7 and rest best transport. Good food. Best in the UK for events.
  •  I studied at city campus. You need to make sure you follow instagram pages of university where all the events which will happen the next will will be shared via story so you keep updated. Also there is global lounge where you get the details of all the upcoming events and we have a seperate building for student which is student union you can find all the details of events happening over there. There will always be a board put for upcoming events in campus so people are aware of it.
  • You can access gym on students discount and can take yearly membership at cheapest prices. Also be a part of various groups via instagram and also be a member of sports team and can access various sports and get all track of sports activity through sports app.
  • All culture events are celebrated at NTU. We have music festivals, theatre festival, arts festivals. You will have to be part of all the community on their instagram page to keep a track of all events happening within the campus and univeristy.
  • Univerity has their own buses which provide you free transport from one campus to another for the students.

Placement

No company visited so far. No placement people came in. You have to do all on your own.

Accommodation

Off Campus

I took private accomodation with people who I interacted before coming to the univerity. Go private as UNI accomodations are very costly. You have to pay a lot in UNI accomodation compared to private. I paid 130£ per week and book my accomodation via spare room app. It is very genuine where you can message which room you like and contact owner. We had a video tour on whatsapp before we book the apartment.
Also there is univerity website for accomodation where you can select the required accomodation and pay to the choosen accomodation via student campus platform.

Exams

  • If you come from recognised and registered Indian institute/university with good grades you do not have to provide IELTS.
  • If needed for my course overall score for IELTS would be 6, it can change so you have to keep checking university website within the given course. The scores vary for different course. I did not submit IELTS score as I graduated from Univerity of Mumbai.
  • My scores:10th- I scored 76% - MKES
12th- I scored 50% - S.K Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
My bachelors was in BSC-IT - 5.27 CGPA - K.J Somaiya college of Arts, Science and Commerce.
  • Requirements:  Yes you have to submit SOP, LOR’s and CV. I got my LOR’s from my the company where I had my job in India.
Different seperate SOP for each institute. 2 LOR needed. You can get from your university or company you work at. CV you can make same for all institute you apply or you can change depending where you apply.

Fees

£16,800 was my tuition fees
