- Way of teaching - Teaching with real time illustrations and case studies really helped to understand the concept in depth and can be remembered for long.
- Helpful professors - Professors are so helpful in re explaining the concepts if needed and most importantly they are so kind to give their leisure time to know how we are doing and any help we need about concepts.
- Campus facilities - BCU has everything a student need at a campus.
Campus Life
- Birmingham City University has many campuses, like The Curzon Building (where we attended classes), Millennium Point, Alexander Stadium, Parkside Building, and City South campus, etc. I am aware of our campus infrastructure, it has a good, large library with print facilities, etc., and three food courts at that campus, and they serve delicious food, of course, Starbucks coffee as well :). Many events used to happen, like Music nights, Holi events etc.,
Fees
- It was GBP 13,200, and it was yearly, and I paid the total fee in three installments. And they did not collect any other additional charges except the fee, and the university is very transparent about what they mention on the website and what they collect in real time at the university.
- No, other expenses (like hostel, transport, etc.) were included in the aforementioned course fee.

Likes
- Uni had a nice library with books and laptop lending facility
- Location is nice for a university most of the things are nearby train, bus station grocery shops and student accommodations
- The major project is nice which allows you to research about a specific topic in where you're interested. This makes it easy and leads towards where you're aiming after this course.
Dislikes
- Food was not upto the mark no variety also bit of bland food
- Easy admission equals to weaker students my class didn't had any topper in their home country. A person with 5.5 bands and even without IELTS were present.
- No help or very less help I can say for job search during and after course there is no placement for master students
Campus Life
- 2 campuses: one in the city center B4 7RJ and one in the city's south campus B15 3TN
- Library and laptop lending, sports center was used of Aston University, very limited parking available, cafe & bar, mental health, financial aid
- There are many clubs and events you can take part in; there's free badminton day for 2 hours, Bingo night, movie night, Garba & Diwali night and Eid. Also, you can volunteer in any event going on in UNI. Black month is celebrated and LGBTQ
- For Garba night, the university has an auditorium where it is organised, pooja is done, a DJ is available and food will be provided. You need to prebook this and it's free of cost. Same for Holi and badminton day you get free access.
Fees
- My course fee was around 19200 pounds after scholarship of 1500 it was around 17,700
- 50% of fee is taken as deposit during admission. Rest of the fees needs to be paid in first and second semester Rent would be around 300 to 400 if sharing and 600 to 700 in student accommodation.
- Uni is 2 days for master's or max 4 days if bachelors so transport would be depend on that and on location. For grocery it would be around 200 monthly and if ordering food will cost you more try for takeaway.

Likes
- Campus is so pretty with modern infrastructure
- Fee structure is affordable
- The Classroom are well equipped
Dislikes
- I do not have any dislikes about my university to be honest but still I will try to answer some of the least liked things about my uni.
- There is Indian dominance, although it is good to have it but sometimes it changes into politics which I didn't like
- Everyone thinks BCU is the University of Birmingham which are two different universities.
Campus Life
- My university has 3 campuses, in nearby locations in Birmingham.
- They have all the faculties such as Library , Sports center and Medical services.
- They have cultural events every Friday and Saturday where mostly students from different countries join. There is a separate student union to which an Indian is the president. I also worked as Student ambassador for over 6 months there at Birmingham City University Student Union.
Fees
- Entire course "Tuition" fee was 14000 Pounds.
- My accommodation was outside the campus in a really nice neighborhood "Quinton" about 5 miles away from the University. I have a good transportation facility every 5 mins. I pay about 600 pounds per month including all the bills.
- Transportation was about - 50 pounds per month "student pass" where you can travel unlimited across Black country and West Midlands. Such a saver for me.
- Affordable shopping centers were mostly ALDI, Costco. But I always used to go to Sainsbury's and ASDA as they were near.
- Gym membership was 24 pounds per month. They also have 12 pounds per month too.
- Groceries were about 30 pounds per month.

Dislikes
- The main campus does not have anything for sports, career support is there but did not find it useful.
Overview
I chose UK because they provide a 1-year master's in budget universities, and I could get 2-year visa. The university experience has been good, the ranking was average, plus there are good opportunities in Birmingham for part-time and full-time as well. Also, I felt I could do so much more in the university if I weren't here for 1 year; there is so much to explore and get into.
Campus Life
The campus has many societies one can participate in, just lacks a sports place inside the main campus, we have it in another one, rest for my design course we had a lot of facilities.
Likes
- Good infrastructure and location.
Dislikes
- No job assistance or placement, Not much global exposure
Overview
I chose this college as it is easy to get in, my educational agent helped me crack admission swiftly into the university. Centrally located in 2nd largest city of the UK. Overall a delightful foreign experience.
Campus Life
Wifi and the Library were great. Centrally located in the heart of the city so easily commutable. Research facilities were ample. Sports activities were negligible.

- Birmingham City University provides courses that are globally renowned, accredited and constitutes a multicultural community that adds to the student’s learning experience. This will ultimately make me grab an opportunity to study and develop with diverse intellectual mindsets. It offers industry-focused and research-led courses as it works closely with industry professionals and experts. The university provides modern facilities and services that are very beneficial for the students. I looked for other universities as well, but considering factors like the course modules, facilities, and the surroundings in which I want to develop, Birmingham City University is the best place for me.
- I appreciate the rigorous academic curriculum at my university, which fosters critical thinking and practical skills. The dedicated faculty provides valuable mentorship, and the vibrant campus life, enriched by diverse clubs and events, creates a dynamic learning environment. Access to modern facilities, well-equipped libraries, and strong community support enhance my overall university experience.
Dislikes
- While my university offers a robust academic experience, there have been occasional challenges with administrative communication and response times. Additionally, there could be more emphasis on providing real-world exposure through industry partnerships or practical experiences.
