Course Curriculum Overview

2

Curriculum provided by our university in very bad and not a one that consider teachers and students needs and opinions. They are theory based and do not provide skills for real world experience. But I heard the new curriculum provided for the new commers in 2024 is pretty good and it's an improvement .

Internships Opportunities

4

I am a electrical major and my department provides a vast number if internships from many companies like IBM, KSEB, Kalkitech etc. I had an internship at KSEB and had a great experience with the employees and improved my skill set

Placement Experience

5

As I say my college has the second highest placement rate in Kerala and it offers many multinational companies like Apple , Google ,Twitter, Tata etc. you will be eligible for the placement from 6th semester onwards and average pack is 100000 rupees. You should atleast have a 8.5 cgpa to apply for placement drives as many companies have a cgpa cuttoff

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 70000 rupees yearly. I am studying in my college in management quota so I have to pay more while my classmates who are in merit quota have to pay 40000 yearly even though I have higher rank than them. I have applied for scholarships but I didn't get any of them.

Campus Life

4

My college is known for the number of clubs we have . I'm a member of NSS in my college and it has improved my experience and skills a lot. Our techfest named Excel is in January this year and it's the second largest techfest in south india. We have a great library with many books and big ground for sports events

Admission

I applied several colleges with this college but I selected my college because it's closer to my home and have second highest placement rate in Kerala. My parents wanted me to be day scholar so I focused on getting on a college that is closer to me. Admission process is through University allotments and you should pass the KEAM exam.

Faculty

5

Faculties and other staffs in my department are good and very helping. But the curriculum and syllabus provided by the University in very bad and it is affecting their abilility to teach. The syllabus provided only 3 months for studying in a semester and it causes rushing and skipping of portions. Personally I like all our faculties. Exams are not proportionate and are rushed .

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
