Placements provided by the college are good
internships provided by the college are good and helpfull

campus is not that big or wide which makes some discomfort
the syllabus is outdated which makes studying boring

Course Curriculum Overview

the course curriculam is a bit boring ,the syllabus is much outdated ,the curricualam doesnt prepare the students for a real world applications ,the syllubus must be updated and more practical sessions and labs must be added

Internships Opportunities

College provides many internship oppurtunities,the latest companies which offered internships are visa,keltron internships are really helpful for our future jobs ,it makes the job finding ease and makes us improve in our field

Placement Experience

The placements provided in the college is very good and has a good average lpa ,from 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements ,Many big mnc's come for placements in college including bosch ,air india etc.... almost all students get placed in the college

Fees and Financial Aid

i pay around 20000 as tution fees for each semester and also around 2500 for exam fees pers semester an amount of 5000 is given as caution deposit ,there is no other fees than the abouve mentioned ,so a total of 160000 is given as tution fee for the whole course

Campus Life

excel ,the technomanagerial festival of my college is the second largest tech fest in south india,they are often held in between december and february ,A large number of books and journals are available in the college library All classes has basic fascilities ,Sports days come up every year ,there are a plenty of clubs and social groups in the college topgear is a club for mechanical engineering students

Admission

The college is situated in middle of kochi which has easy access to the college all mode of transport are available ,the nearest metro is in 2 km .I havnt got any rejections from the colleges i applied ,my college has a very good number of placements that other college doesnt have

Faculty

The facultys are good enough,in all branches the college has good number of facultys who are very much supportive which helps students in curriculam and all other tthings ,the course duration is 4 years which is splitted to 8 semesters ,2semester a year and an end semester exam and end of each semester

Very nice experience. Its very easy to use, and so much helpful.

Remarks:

Its very attractive College. But somehow a little bit strict. Have very good academics. Extra curriculum activities etc. College ambiance is very nice. Faculty members are very nice. Nice hostel and canteen.

Positive- Good building structure. nice campus atmosphere educated and experienced staffs, good faculty, comfortable class rooms, free from city disturbance. Negative- High fee, far from city, roads are congested, always traffic during peak hours.

JOURNEY FROM THE HELL TO HEAVEN

Remarks:

Positive remarks is the college is autonomous because we are directly under the Cochin University of Science and Technology. So the CUSAT name plays a big role in whole Kerala. The certificate has a big value. In case of negative remarks, some works are not doing properly, like small maintenance work and all.

MEC EEE REVIEW

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). GOVT MODEL ENGINEERING COLLEGE REVIEW

The college that i applied other than model engineering college is CET trivandrum which is the best college under ktu in kerala . And the second is model engineering college. I would have got admission is any other colleges in kerala . I choose model engineering college because of its placements and academic progress. Also this college have 80 % pass rate The admission process is through keam allotment and the eligibility examination is keam. Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat . One other college i applied to was GEC Thrissur and i chose this over GECT was due to placements and location ....Read More
