Course Curriculum Overview
It had been told to me that bcom hons is a great course which is offered by Delhi University, it has great value in the market, but after taking the course I realised that it is a traditional course, modern courses like bms, bba or bbe are far more better than traditional degree courses, I feel that you get less exposure with bcom hons, you will have to do an extra course like ca, cs to enhance your cv, I feel that there should be some more jobs that should be created for bcom hons students and extra courses related to commerce must be provided along to enhance the curriculum. The exams are moderate to tough, if you are well prepared you can easily get 9 cgpa and above like if you had started your preparation 2 3 months before but if you started studying a day before and you are doing hardwork you can easily achieve a 7 cgpa.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the internships which came from college were commission based I even got selected in one but it was quite hectic, then I went for another one but I couldn't join due to attendance issues, the college was not willing to make up for my attendance so I had to give up on it.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are average, companies which come to visit are Deloitte, etc. but the highest package offered till now is 3 - 5 lakhs till now. 60 - 70% get placed by the college, otherwise you could always look out for better opportunities yourself and you can also learn new skills, like ai, digital marketing to enhance your cv which could help you get a better job
Fees and Financial Aid
According to the subsidy provided by the government we are able to save an expense of about 1 to 1.5 lakh the fees depends upon the grades allotted to the college, if it's an A grade college you can expect the fee upto 17000, the scholarships forms are provided on a regular basis by the college faculty for fee deduction. Employment opportunities are average you mostly get sales related internships or job you will have to look yourself for good opportunities.
Campus Life
I had a good campus life with a great circle of friends all of the people I met here are interactive and willing to help, there are several societies in the college, like enactus, ecell, fic etc which offers you good exposure of the outside world and also ab opportunity to make friends.
Admission
To enroll in the course you must have commerce in +2, you can apply for cuet to get admission in du now since admission is done through it only now, a person with a obc, school, st certificate can claim great benefits as their cutoff is quite low, as Aryabhatta is a South campus college you need to score atleast 700 marks put of 800 if you are from general category, I feel chet process must be improved a little as at online examination centres the systems sometimes lag.
Faculty
The faculty member are mostly permanent professor with great teaching experience, if you approach the teachers they provide you good mentorship and are willing to help you with studies and advice, apart from this some teachers are not really willing to provide attendance for free due to NEP but some are really lineant.
