Course Curriculum Overview

4

The B.Com curriculum is designed by Delhi University and covers core commerce subjects like accounting, finance, taxation, and business management. It provides strong knowledge. I have interest, subjects that’s why I choose this course. In my opinion, the theory subject should be modified as they are boring

Internships Opportunities

3

The students can gap internship opportunities from first semester. The placement cell of our college is really active and a call good companies offers for the students. Internships are available of both types paid and unpaid but students get paid internship only when they have the required skills. The internship opportunities come from the top companies also, and the new start-up also

Placement Experience

3

The students get eligible for campus placements from the third year. The placement cell of our College is really active and push forward. The students to pursue their dream careers and the average package of placement here is 4 to 6 LPA. the top recruiters are Deloitte KPMG, EY, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Every semester fees is around 16000 rs. Other than this, exam form fees is there which depends upon how many practical and how many theoritical subjects you have, it can be around 3000rs per semester. Bcom has a little higher fees than other courses due to more practical subjects Our college is gradually increasing fees every semester

Campus Life

4

Shaheed Bhagat Singh evening College conducts its annual fest called SAPTRANG every year, though the College doesn’t have enough funds to call a celebrity, but still the student union manages to held a very enjoyable fest with a nice band. The Library of our college is spacious and have important books available. All the College societies of this college are really active and they are student led.

Admission

Shaheed Bhagat Singh evening, College is the best evening College in Delhi University. To get admission in any college of DU, You have to go through the process of Cuet. I did the same and I couldn’t get north campus College, but this College is also in the good colleges list and for me, evening timing goes well with my comfortable schedule.

Faculty

3

The faculty 2 student ratio is well and good in this college and the student Teacher relationship is very friendly and teachers are really supportive and approachable in nature. The faculty I like is Seema Chaudhary mam because she is a very supportive and understanding teacher and the faculty, I don’t like is Kavita Yadav because she doesn’t listen to any student and speaks rudely. The exams are conducted semester wise and they are moderate in nature. If a student focus in Classes, he can pass easily.

Interview Experience

4

have successfully cleared the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which is a national-level examination for admission into various undergraduate programs in central universities across India. Preparing for this examination required consistent effort, dedication, and strong academic focus, as the competition level was quite high. Through regular study, proper time management, and determination, I was able to achieve a good score in the examination. Based on my CUET results, I became eligible for admission to the University of Delhi, one of the most prestigious and reputed universities in India. After the declaration of results, I participated in the admission process and successfully secured admission by clearing the required cutoff criteria set by the university. Meeting the cutoff was a significant achievement for me, as it reflected my academic capabilities and hard work.

Night Life

4

This College doesn’t provide hostel facility so there are Pg and flats all over the College area and the area of sheikh sarai is filled with students living away from their home. The night life here is fun for the people and is also safe for girls as there is enough security, the go to place for every Sbsc student is authority. There is every shop possible and the food stalls are really nice.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur
