What Students Say
Likes
- I really like how active the societies in my college are, especially ComSoc (The Commerce Society). All the societies conduct their events which are a combination of academic and fun activities. The fest conducted by the college is also super fun.
- The dogs in our college are very friendly, especially Tony and Max.
- I like the way my teachers teach and make us understand the concepts.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure isn’t very great. The campus is comparatively small and the the building is also very old with broken tables, benches and fans.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose English (H) as this is a course which really helps you develop good communication skills and also makes you critically analyse things. Also, since I want to pursue Journalism, I believe this course will help me. Talking about the faculty, most of the teachers in my college are very dedicated towards their job and put full effort to make us understand the concepts. They make sure to interact with each one of us and clear our doubts.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite minimal. For the general category, the fees are higher as compared to the other categories. But still, it is not high when you compare it with other colleges. The fees for the SC/ST/OBC categories are very less. Other than that, no scholarship or financial assistance was provided by the college.
Campus Life
The social life at DU is amazing as you get to interact with so many different people through different clubs/societies. There are also a lot of other fun things in college like fests. The annual fest of our college is TATVA which is generally conducted in the month of February or March. Talking about the societies in my college, there are plenty of them. I'm a part of the Commerce Society (ComSoc). It was only by joining this society that I was able to make a lot of friends and become a part of a big social circle. Here, I learnt many things apart from making friends.
Admission
The admission process was quite simple for me since I got in based on my class 12th percentage. Though, the cut-off was really high as I belong to the general category. Otherwise, the whole admission process was also very convenient as it was online and so I could fill up the form and pay the fees while sitting at home.
