Remarks

It is one of the top most colleges in delhi university and has good diversity of students coming from different background. The staff is also very friendly. Location wise the college provides many opportunities and you can get great placements in top companies after graduating The curriculum was same as followed in other colleges but they made sure students are actually present in the classes during lecture. A very strict policy was in place for attendance of the students. Min 75% attendance was compulsory. Also the way of teaching was different. The lecturer use to make the content interesting by using different methods like plays, group discussions and presentations so students take initiative of learning which made learning even more fun.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Faculty was really good. I would specially like to mention Ms. Shelly Verma, Deepa Verma, Ms. Harpeet Kaur, Ms. Rekha Sharma, Ms Kajleen Kaur, Ms. Aradhana Nanda. All were extremely hard working and well versed with their subject. All of them taught really well. We had frequent assignments and tests which were helpful for us. They not only helped us with the curriculum but were a support system in other aspects as well. exam structure is in accordance with the Delhi University exam structure. It is a little hectic when the time come close to the final exams. Otherwise a typical day at college was not that hectic but the teachers make sure that we understand all the concepts in detail and conducts regular test and assignments making sure that we are comfortable when it comes to final exams.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college is having an efficient placement cell having high authority teachers working in it. The percentage of placement was 100% good as it should be. The highest package offered was 3 Lacs per annum with 1, 80, 000 p. a being the least. TCS, IBM, Genpact were some of the top recruiting companies for our course. The placement cell provides internships and jobs to the alumni of the college as well. Roles which were mainly offered were in accounting profile, sales profile.

College Events

5

Our college has A-Class infrastructure. The campus is fully wifi enabled, all the classrooms are smart class with projectors and mics. Our college has one of the best equipped library (of 3 floors). We have 3 separate computer labs for students of different courses. The state of the art auditorium is the main highlight of the campus. We have a professional cricket stadium, basketball court, volleyball court, tennis court and football ground. We literally have a big event or so organized in the college every now and then. From speaker sessions to alumni meets to celebrity guest visits we have all. This year on our annual fest we had celebrity singers Karan Aujla and Maninder Buttar for the performances.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is relatively feasible and expensive both, if we compare SGGSCC with other DU colleges, its one of the expensive college with around Rs 25000 P. a. but if we compare with Other private colleges its most feasible one Yes college do provide a Placement Cell, in which after enrolling with a minimal amount of Rs 100 one have access of updates of various companies providing opportunities for Jobs and internships. Also last year more than 200 students were placed with a minimum package of 3. 3L p. a. I haven't opted for any education loan. The college provides for scholarships based on the academic performance and sports. I have been given a scholarship in the first year for being the college topper.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel was only for girls, and have a great infrastructure and very safe for girls with a minimum fee and clean environment. Hostel also includes Mess facilities. but you can easily find PG options, nearby the college for Rs. 3,000-Rs. 6,000 a month including food.

Admission

No, there was no GD/PI or written examination at the time of admission. Its totally depends upon 12th score card. If you score good marks then you will get easily addmission in delhi University.

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects of the curriculum that influences my decision to choose. This course was for the upcoming government exams as it provide a fundamental knowledge for them and the curriculum prepares it for real World applications do not have any practical knowledge, but it was more focus on academic more theoretical and areas of improvement. In the course curriculum is that I would suggest that it should be more ongoing perspective more realism rather than focusing on the past theory that we have, it should be relevant in contemporary times and the frequency and timing of exam along with my proper difficulty level is high.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of KMC works really well. Many top companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and Wipro visit the campus. It also arranges internships and placement drives, making sure students are ready for jobs. Overall, KMC provides a lively atmosphere and strong career support. From 6th Semester onwards, students can sit for campus placements. The highest package was upwards of ?30 LPA and the average package is around ?6-8 LPA. Our course saw a similar average package and the highest package was ?23 LPA. Around 30% of the previous batch was placed with the rest going for higher education and other job or entrance examinations. After getting my degree, I plan to go for higher education in statistics or economics. And beyond that I have made up my mind that I want to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and RBI Grade B Officer examination.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BBA course curriculum at Maharaja Surajmal College is quite well structured and covers a good balance of theoretical and practical aspects of business studies. The subjects are relevant to the current industry standards and help in building a strong foundation for management and corporate roles. The curriculum also gives exposure to areas like marketing, finance, and human resource management which prepares students for real-world applications as well as for higher studies like MBA. However, it could include more practical training, internships, and industry interactions to make learning more experiential. The exams are conducted on time and are of moderate difficulty, focusing more on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning. Overall, the curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, though slight improvements in practical exposure would make it even better.
