Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is nice but the time table gets very hectic sometimes, and there is one thing about the curriculum that there is repetition of certain things again and again in different sems which stops the broadening of domain. There are a lot of assignments , class tests other than mid sem and end sem And every of the marks is included in final evaluation.

Internships Opportunities

4

Delhi Technological University (DTU) provides strong internship opportunities through a combination of on-campus placements, faculty-recommended projects, alumni networks, and self-driven applications via platforms like LinkedIn. Students regularly intern with reputed companies such as Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Accenture, ZS Associates, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, L&T, Tata Projects, NTPC, and BHEL in roles including Business Analyst Intern, Consulting Intern, Software Development Intern, Core Engineering Intern, Environmental Compliance Intern, and Research Intern. Stipends typically range from ?8,000 to ?40,000 per month for core engineering, consulting, and research roles, and can go up to ?1,00,000+ per month for top technology internships. The work involves hands-on projects such as market and data analysis, ESG and sustainability reporting, software and data tool development, site inspections, environmental impact assessments, and process optimization. These internships help students gain real-world exposure, build practical and professional skills, strengthen their resumes, and often lead to pre-placement offers (PPOs), higher-study opportunities, or clearer career direction.

Placement Experience

5

The placement here inDTU is quite decent Various tech companies and companies of finance and consulting in non tech domain as well as core roles are also offered. The students are eligible for campus placement from 3rd year onwards starting from internships and placements in 4th year , students are free to apply internships from 1st year onwards the hods and faculties are quite supportive in providing the LOR. The proffs of core branches are supportive in providing research opportunities also And famous companies like EY, JP Morgan Chase and ICICI Bank as well as all tech companies recruite from DTU , and because of the brand name of college there are several off campus opportunities too

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is 2.34 lakhs per annum The hostel fees is 75 thousand annually And the mess fees is approx 60 thousand annually There are several scholarship opportunities on merit as well as need based But most of the scholarship offered ask for income proof which should be less than 5 lakh annually.

Hostel Facilities

5

We have three girls hostels and all the btech students are allotted in VLB hostel which is Fully aur conditioned and have 3 sharing in one room the room is spacious we get one bed almirah and table chair the bathrooms are common but are ussually clean and water cooler facilities, 24/7 wifi and geezers in winter . The canteen and vending machine inside the campus.

Admission

I secured 96 percentile in jee and I was getting quite decent NITs but lower branch here in DTU I have environmental engineering I was getting the same in nsut and mechanical in igtuw, the admission in DTU is done through jac councelling there are 5 online rounds and 2 physical rounds , internal upgradation of branches is also there. I choose DTU over other choices because of its brilliant faculty of environmental engineering and diverse amount of technology present to study environmental engineering and it's location being delhi is also a plus. The average package is also good than the other options that I was getting.

Faculty

4

Student to faculty ratio is 60:1 There are 5 main subjects in 1 sem of btech which consists of 4 credits and 1 elective of 2 credits Each subject contains of practical, end sem and mid sem and class evaluation Marks for each factor like attendance to exams are calculated out of 100 The sgpa is released on the basic of relative grading not absolute. The course curriculum is relevant, the proffs are also nice Failing ratio is class is quite less only

5

There are several outlets in college starting from rajsoin which has dominos, beristo, and affordable canteen and other outlets to hyms, the night cafe known as deltech And we also have amul in our college where other coffee shops and juice corners are open These outlets are open at night also the canteen inside the hostel are open 24/7 on exam days , the night life is pretty awesome We also have DTU lake , and awesome view from DTU 8th floor

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
