Remarks

Overall Good college with great emphasis on studies and Large scale annual festivals,good infrastructure with good faculty.

Entrance Preview

I got 78.5% in 12th Board exam 1994 which was cut-off for admission in college for B.Com Hons during 1994-1995 batch. However Sikhs get additional 5% relaxation in cut-off. Main Criteria for admission is on Board exam percentage.

Internships Opportunities

No Internship for commerce In 1994-1997 only commerce courses like B.Com pass, B.Com Hons, Eco Hons were available,no science course was available,where in most of the opportunities exist for internship etc.

College Events

Very Big annual festival at large scale. Similarly Election also held at large scale generally a week is fully loaded with elections.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Government nominal fee of Rs 15 per month aside nominal Exam fee of Rs 200 etc. Aside there is no other fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship however Sikhs get additional 5% relaxation in cut-off no loan facility moreover due to nominal government fee of Rs.45 per quarter there is no need of any loan.

Campus Life

In all aspects I will rate it very good especially Library. Computer Lab was just reasonable big campus ground. However in thos days College rooms were having tin roofs but now they have cemented roofs so now its very good infrastructure.

Hostel Facilities

No hostel facility is available during 1994-1997. No PG was available during those days.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Exam Structure

Annual not at all hectic,just last 10 year paper reading was sufficient to get the 50% marks in graduation B.Com Hons.

Underrated College of DU!

Placement Experience:

Students from 3rd year onwards may sit for placements. There are several companies visiting our college for placements, such as Zomato, Tech Mahindra, EY, MagicPin, etc. My plans after getting the degree personally include pursuing a PG degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college.The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .

Why DU has the best college life

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that great but decent. Mostly placements are good in the north campus but still my college provides decent placements. However one has to maintain their academic score for the same and be consistent.
