- Personally, I like the crowd. Students are mostly very cool and not like mean and stuff.
- Teacher's are supportive and help out whenever needed.
- Attendance is not a compulsion, however marks are not given below 67%
Dislikes
- Some teachers disapprove of people pursuing other secondary courses as well..
- Infrastructure could be a bit better considering the ratings of the college
Course Curriculum Overview
First of all it was an honours course, which i feel is very important nowadays. Further i saw the different oppurtunites one could get after pursuing this course. It definitely prepares me for real world applications and helps me with future academic oppurtunities. One area of improvement could be- reducing the syllabus given the time constraint.
Placement Experience
Students from 3rd year onwards may sit for placements. There are several companies visiting our college for placements, such as Zomato, Tech Mahindra, EY, MagicPin, etc. My plans after getting the degree personally include pursuing a PG degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for my course is about 16000 annually.. it was a little low earlier This is very affordable considering the fees these days There are sections for financial aid available in our college- people can apply for it through a google form circulated.
Campus Life
There is always something going on in our college when it comes to fests. Be it society fests, course wise fests or the whole college events. A few major events include 'Pradeepan- the NSS Diwali Fest' , 'Minerva- the annual commerce fest, "Sabrang - the annual college fest"
Admission
I got accepted into Christ Bangalore and VIPS, IP University and these were the only other colleges i applied to. I chose deshbandhu college, by reading the positive reviews as well as the relevance of University of Delhi. One added criteria could be the distance of the colleges- It was the nearest to my residence.
Faculty
Faculty is kind of mixed i would say- we have pretty great teacher's who cooperate, understand and are very approachable.. But some teachers just do not consider and understand- sometimes even on basic humanity basis. Teachers are also very considerate while conducting internal exams- they also take the students opinion while deciding the test dates..
Night Life
I absolutely love the location of our college, located in Kalkaji- the hub in south delhi. With affordable markets such as lajpat nagar and nehru place nearby, and high end cafes in Greater Kailash, we have something for all!
