Placement Experience

Students generally become eligible for campus placements starting from the [e.g., 5th semester for undergraduates or 3rd semester for postgraduates]. This allows them to gain relevant skills and prepare for placement opportunities. 2. Companies Visiting Campus While I have not personally participated in placement activities, based on information from peers and the placement cell, companies from various sectors visit the campus

Campus Life

The library facilities were functional but could have been better in terms of accessibility and diversity of resources. Range of Books and Journals: While some essential textbooks and journals were available, the collection was not comprehensive, especially for niche or advanced topics. Digital Access: The availability of e-books or online journals was limited, which sometimes made research challenging.

STUDENTS RUN A FOOD SHOP IN THE UNIVERSITY WHICH HELP IN STUDENTS GETTING VARIOUS FOOD ITEMS WHICH WERE NOT AVAILABLE IN HE UNIVERSITY CANTEEN.

Placement Experience

Placements at my college are average. If no campus placement is offered then students searchs for jobs on their own or get the help fron the elders or professors about the future. After 2nd semester completion, the students become eligible for the campus placements. I don't know the details of the companies that visited and made no offers. the highest average package as per company offered is 12lpa. The percentage is not the main criterion for getting placement it is based on the interviews. My plan after getting the degree is to further pursue studies as a PhD scholar.

Faculty

According to my college, I will say, leaving some teachers and other faculties is providing the best of the best education system to the system. Teachers are supportive, fostering a harmonious relationship among students. Though some teachers fail to accommodate with the class and maintain good connection. All the assignments and the projects are assigned on a particular time. Talking about the exams, I personally liked their exam-making system a lot because it gives a comprehensive way of regular exams for the students. But some teachers are not good, they don't pay attention to the students. The faculty members here are very approachable as they reside on the same campus in which you stay and are always ready to help. Course structure it is divided into 4 semesters, there are 2 semesters per year. There course is 2 year In every semester there are 4 subjects which are 100 markes each and the passing is 35 and there are practicals of each subject with separate passing of 20 and we get 20 markes internal which are under our teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of Msc in Environmental Science is 40000 per year, We can pay the fees online and offline also. The fees can be pay in 2 installments , it is divided into 20000 , this we have to pay when we get addmission in the college. There is the 1000 rs Admission fees, in which we get practical records and exam fees in including it. This is no extra fees like lab fee or development fee. 40000 is only the fees we have to pay in college per year. there no other charges during the course. Students those who get Scholarship they have to pay only 4000 -5000 as per there catagory. They don't have extra fees except this. Students those who get Scholarship Or Students those who don't get Scholarship all have to pay the addmission and registration fees which is 1000 rs only.

Campus Life

There are many fests going every year which I can't even count. So, I won't be describing any of it. But I bet no one can complain about the fests whether it be technical or fun fests everything is on point. Library has got superb collection of books from every field. Facilities & technologies in the classroom is world class with smart boards, AC, cushioned seats and what not. Sport activities are comparatively lower as compared to similar colleges. There are many students led clubs and societies which helps every student to take part and excel in their desired field.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well designed keeping in mind what is the current best need for that very subject and is advanced upto the level of foreign universities. The course properly aligns with the real world needs today and also every student has got the right there to ask and convince the professors to make necessary changes in the curriculum pattern. The uniformity of the lectures should be improved by all of the professors as there are plenty of times when professors calls the class and then cancel it abruptly.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1: 5 , facilities are good but not interactive, but they help whenever students ask doubts or student face any problem they try to resolve. I like Dr. M.k.Rai sir who teach us biotechnology, he is working so hard to teach their students, and also Dr. S.kausik sir is also helpful and guiding us for better future. There's is no faculty who I don't like. All are respected professors. There is 2 internal in every semester and 1 end semester examination. And practical exam as well.

Campus Life

All Indian religious festivals are celebrated in our university like holi , deewali, ornam, Durga puja, Ganesh puja etc. are celebrated. Library is sufficient for study materials. Each department have one smart classroom. There's sports complex which have football ground, badminton court, table tennis ,chess, gym and swimming pool Students run some political clubs but they're not for student welfare.

We had 5 Faculties on 40 students. All are good and supportive to their students. Liking & disliking among the Professor & students is though common in all the University, so you could feel sometimes here too. But that won't affect your marks. There's 4 semester, in 2nd semester there js industrial Internship training you have to do for one month, 4th semester is Dissertation period for 6 months. All semester has Grading System with major & minor subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

There's is need of this course in current scenario of the world as the talk kf Sustainability & Ecology growing up. Course has everything to deal with the scenario. But there's is need of improvement in field of Environment Economics concern as it is just touched topic, it should be proper subject as interview around the company of ESGs ask questions about the same. Overall it has broader future aspects regarding professional life.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is normal and they are very kind & supportive of the students. They listen and support the ideas of many and don't hesitate to correct students when wrong. I liked our faculty Dr. Prachi and Dr. Sangeeta the best! The curriculum includes semester wise exams in which two internals included. The difficulty level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness I'd rate it an 8. We're studying how to save our future and that's the part I like the best. It really gives you an insight on what is actually the problem is and how we should tackle it down to save our present and future. Love the teaching methods.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course was divided into four semesters for each semester we had to pay 1500 rupess which included the tution, registration, lan, and library fees. The fees was same for all the categories but my female batchmates had some kind of SC girls scholarship because of which their fees was less than the regular fee amount, the scholarship was merit based as far as I remember.

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the campus and my hostel both were great as both the places were build newly at the time of my admission. I enjoyed my campus life as there were no heavy restrictions but our campuses are very safe, rarely I heard anything regarding the safety of girl students as nightly patrols on the road were conducted regularly.

Ques. Is opting for an M.Sc in Environment from Nalanda University after a B.Tech in Civil a good choice? What are the future opportunities?

● Top Answer By Snigdhanjan Gupta on 29 Jul 22

Ans. In every industry, the Environmental department is an overhead, the requirement rate is very low. You will face problems finding jobs, after completing your M.Tech.  If you are interested in the branch do a course in Environment Policy and Law, and you will be able to find job positions in legal branch to support company's moves. Read more

Ques. Can i do master's in landscaping after bsc agri..?

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 24 May 23

Ans. As far as my best knowledge is concerned, you are not eligible to pursue a Master's in Landscape Architecture after completion of a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture.  The minimum basic educational qualification required for M.Arch from RIT Bangalore is given below, Admission to the Master of Architecture Program is open to all the candidates who have passed B.Arch. (as per the eligibility criteria specified from time to time) of COA, VTU, or any other recognized University / Institution.  For foreign degrees, an Equivalence certificate from the Association Of Indian Universities is required. The candidates who have completed their degree through the distance mode education from any University are not eligible for admission to M.Arch. Programs under any quota. Candidates holding the degree awarded by Associate of the Indian Institute of Architects (AIIA) are also eligible for M.Arch., programs. Candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years are also eligible for M.Arch. (5% relaxation for reserved categories. You have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture which is not a relevant subject to Architecture that's why you are not eligible to pursue this course. Read more

Ques. How is an MSc in environmental biotechnology at CUSAT?

● Top Answer By Pablo Patranobish on 20 Jul 21

Ans. MSc in Environmental Biotechnology is a very niche course that is offered by very few universities in India, Cochin University of Science And Technology (CUSAT) being one of them. Personally, I have come across very few schools of Environmental Studies in Indian universities that offer this program. But then if you are interested then nothing should come between you and your choice. You may look at some of the IITs, IISERs, and other top universities if they provide this course or not and whether or not you are eligible for it. If you are not getting them, then CUSAT is fine as well.Read more
