Likes
- The teachers were really professional in their field of work and were always on time unless they has a very important meeting to attend in that case Phd scholars took our classes so our time was not wasted.
- The environment of our classroom was digitated, with smart white board and projector screen making it easy to understand the visual concepts.
- The teachers and the course framework wasnt lousy and was strict to challenge our potential and knowledge.
Dislikes
- There was no canteen in our institute which became difficult as for even tea and snacks we had to walk for a km to other departments canteen.
- There was no management regarding cultural programme which helps expand our boundaries.
- Lack of programme and activities like debates and essay writing competition.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was intrested in wildlife and the speciaity availaible was in ecological sciences so I choose that, we had weekly practicals on the base of what we had learned theoretically. We went ot farms and national parks to deeply understand the theory part from our classes.
Internships Opportunities
In the last semester of our course we had to write our thesis for which we were given the oppurtunity to either work in our institute or go somewhere else people from my batch have done their six month internship from World wildlife fund and from IIsc Banglore also.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course was divided into four semesters for each semester we had to pay 1500 rupess which included the tution, registration, lan, and library fees. The fees was same for all the categories but my female batchmates had some kind of SC girls scholarship because of which their fees was less than the regular fee amount, the scholarship was merit based as far as I remember.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the campus and my hostel both were great as both the places were build newly at the time of my admission. I enjoyed my campus life as there were no heavy restrictions but our campuses are very safe, rarely I heard anything regarding the safety of girl students as nightly patrols on the road were conducted regularly.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility was provided at a cost of 3000 per semester and 3000 per month for mess which gave three times meals a day and tea and snack in the evening. the hostels wer ehygeinic as maids came egularly weekly to clean them. General store, stationary shop were present insode our hostels with wifi facility availaible.
Admission
I only applied to BHU because it was my dream to get in that college and at my time of admission they held their entrance exams seprate;y from CUET. We also had interview before selection in the college which tested us on our general personality and behaviour
Faculty
we had diffrent teachers who were expert in there field and sujects for diffrent subjects. the coursework was equally divided on practical and theoritical knowledge and we dint feel like what we were learning was only theoretical we did practicals in the field from time to time
