Life at Shyam lal college shahdara

Likes

The faculty of the political science department is really nice and professors treat student as their own kin and explain everything with great detail.
Over the years infrastructure has also improved a lot
There are students from all over the country which provides a great exposure and with better NAAC and NIRF Ranking the college crowd has improved a lot

Dislikes

The placement is one thing which is not really taking place in the course that is offered by college
The area in which the college is located is in the outskirts of the main campus
The building has only a single lift with timing issues which made it difficult for PWD students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a great knowledge about how politics as a discipline is based around the reality of life. The political theory brings out the conceptual knowledge about liberal and other such ideas while the political thought brings out the ideas of ancient thinkers like Plato, Aristotle and also ofmediaeval thinkers like Machiavelli TH green etc. there is also Indian political thought providing great knowledge about the political system of ancient India and how the makers of modern India thought about the political society as a whole.

Likes

The faculty of our college is best especially in every field I tak about ,if we saw in behaviour and teaching they are best
There are better service for PWD students that struggle or fear to join college , there are good staff and students who help PWD students any time they want
They also provide the service for PWD students like seprate toilet , lift also to reach floor safely without struggle 😄

Dislikes

One thing I don't like is the water cooler always off , mean most of the drinking water wasn't fill up and students had to buy them so this is the major issue
Chair are so small that students hardly able to fit and sit relaxed while studying, but there narrow wide chair that no one can sit properly

Placement Experience:

Not say about this topic because I am not sure about the exact information about the scholarship as I mentioned earlier there package was about average 5lpa but in our course there mostly any of them got placement

My dream college

Likes

The quality of social interactions was very very good.each and every student whether it be a senior was very helpful and of helping nature.
The staff of teachers was very good and well educated . Their way of teaching was also very good.
Apart from all this , there was a very big playground where we could play outdoor games. There were cultural activities arranged in college.

Dislikes

The thing which i disliked most is some staff of office. They were very very rude for small things if a student reaches them for any help.
The canteen service in the college is also not very good and hyegenic

The course curriculum of the college is also very very good.I am preparing for civil service examination so i opted for BA program in history and political sciences and the course helped me very much in the initial as well as some important aspects in my preparation. So i would say that the course curriculum is also very good in the college.

The course is suggested by my big brother they explain me about the bachelor of arts in english honours and he explain me very well about the bachelor of arts in english honours and then I amalso intrested in english subject that' why also choose this course.

They have good envirmnet becuase of that learning become easy and make feel good
All teacher are very helpful they help students when student need even if after class
All students are very good even the college staf is also good they keep polity with every body

Dislikes

Collage must have some shochlership for student
classes should be less becuase it make us feel bore
some time staff act very rrude and misbehaviou with student

1. I chose this course because I want to improve my language skills that I choose this course. 2. The curriculum helps to show the importance of the course and what I am going to learn. 3. In my way of thinking course must have some less books because of we can read them easily and the teaching must be like a story and short so we can learn. 4. I have lots of time to prepare for my exam and the level the of exam are easy if you prepare good so you can easily pass the exam.

Shyam lal the untold story

Likes

I liked the infrastructure and the greenery in the campus and the canteen food and its price is also affordable and they also provide good hygienic food .
Library of my college is also very good the chair and air conditioner is provided fully air conditioned library and all type of books is also available in the library and the staff of the library is also very polite and supportive.
Teacher also very helpful in all the subjects and extracurricular activities also they teach us all the important things that are necessary to know in the college for the students after that the societies of my college is very active and hardworking.

Dislikes

The office team is very irresponsible and they not answer the question or query students raises bad behaviour it must be change .
The location of my college is faar from the main campus the students faces problem to reach there although it is well connected with metro and bus routes .
The lack of cricket ground and football ground is also a thing that I don't like about my college and many more things

Course Curriculum Overview:

New education policy provided us to study various new things and skills to learn but they are not providing students to learn those practically in the field and must have to provide internship program to te students they can learn as well as gain some experience so it will help them in their career after college .

Pros of shyam lal college

Likes

The teachers in college are very helpful and help in other activities rather than studies
The college campus is beautiful and have clean environment
The college offers various facilities like library and canteen

Dislikes

The canteen doesn't have much space for more students
Classes are not regularly held and there are gap between classes
Thw college ground is not that big and not well

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course offers various options and different different fields and the curriculum is well prepared . The frequency of exams is about 3 to 4 months a time and timing is 2 and half hours . And overall the curriculum is good

Genuine and very authentic about college.

Likes

First, the college campus is very awesome including playground for Hockey, Volleyaball and other extra sports ground. And also the college have NCC facility which is very beneficial for youngesters.
Third college organise very frequent seminars and programm, which emergers as very fruitful for young students make more active interactive environment of college.
Second, The college faculty members are very cooperative and enthusiastic towards students. Inspite of academuc knowledge, they also give behavioural and life related expierence.

Dislikes

I think, the thing I diliked in college is that there are less number of courses available in college. It is famous for humanities coursee.
And also i think college required more expierenced sports mentor.
I diliked the some teachers behaviour also as they are very rude toward students.

Placement Experience:

The college provides efficient placements in various courses according to some extra qualities of students. For me, I think the other option after the college placement is that go for higher studies and prepare for any further exams like government exams.

My college is good

Likes

Nice college environment and good faculty and supports the students
New education policy provide students a new way of learning by teachers
My college have the biggest hockey ground all over the colleges of Delhi university

Dislikes

Bad behaviours because couples spoil the environment f college
Canteen is not good and food is not tasty
There is no good music society exist if exist that is not good

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell exist in our college sone days before there were many companies came to our college and provided placements to the students with the average package of 7LPA and I heard that most of the students got the package of 5 LPA
