Which college is better for a B Com hons Shyam Lal College or Sri Aurobindo?

I have a few friends from both Shyam Lal College (Delhi) and Sri Aurobindo. Here is what you can expect from the institutes. Shyam Lal College (Delhi): Infrastructure: The institute is not the best if we focus on its infrastructure and amenities, as per the requirements of the students. The washrooms are typically not in their best condition, unlike other institutes as well. However, the food quality of the canteen is favorably above average. Placements: As per the reports, only about 40% to a maximum of 45% of the entire strength secure placements. The average salary package witnessed until now can range anywhere between INR 4 - 6 Lacs per Annum (LPA). Faculty: On a brighter note, the faculty members of the institute are undoubtedly exceptional. Sri Aurobindo College: Educational prospects: Sri Aurobindo College is quite good for the commerce department. Placements: Several top-tier companies visit the campus during the placement season, for instance, E&Y being one huge name among many others. In addition, students also secure the opportunity to study offshores, if their criteria meet, as per the rules of collaboration with companies. The placement cell equally contributes to helping students achieve their goals, with securing almost 80% of the placement percentage and an average salary package touching about INR 4 - 5 Lacs Per Annum. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the institute is not as commendable as the other factors. However, the laboratories are quite good, with several pieces of equipment ready for use. Alongside that, the WiFi facilities are exceptional as well. As per what you have read, it is now upon what your decision looks like. Make an informed decision.

Is it better to study B.Com from an average DU college like Shyam Lal, or Sri Aurobindo (Evening), or study for a BBA in IB from Amity University?

It’s better to prefer DU regular colleges given the choice. Course-wise, choosing B.Com over BBA is better, unless you are particularly interested in doing BBA. Here are some of the reasons why you should choose DU for your degree. Other colleges charge reasonably higher tuition fees compared to DU, especially for courses like BBA. If you are taking admission to a regular DU college try to engage in different activities. Join societies, clubs, etc. It will help you in the long run. In DU colleges, you will get enough time to do internships for work experiences. This will definitely look better on your CV. If you are a graduate from DU, then you will get certain advantages over Non-DU candidates, in job interviews. If you want to study CA, CS, etc. along with your degree, then it is better to do a B.Com. Since the B.Com syllabus will have more subjects related to CA, CS, CWA, etc. You can also easily prepare for other competitive exams, without your college timing being an issue. Considering all these factors, doing B.Com from a regular DU college will be better than doing BBA from Amity University.

the fees which i was paying for BCOM (P) was 25200 per year and this year i didnot get any scholarship and the fees which college was charge was very high because college was not paying that much facilities although college was good but other du colleges chatrge 14k to 17 k for the same course

Shyam Lal College Review

As Shyam Lal is an off campus college of Delhi University. So it's fee structure is higher than other DU colleges. Basically I'm a unreserved candidate so my fees is 25200 Rupees yearly but for category students the fee is almost half of mine.

The fees for the the BCOM(P) course is 25200 per year it is paid one time it is paid at once.The college is very affordable the fees may increase every year.This college comes under Delhi University so you can avail many scholarship through their official site.

The Truth

My fees is approx 23000 in the first year and 22000 in the second year. Their is no proper facility of providing scholarship related information. Neither office staffs nor teachers , they don't give any updated information related to scholarship and financial aid which is the biggest disadvantage for student like us. Not having any official WhatsApp group or any information source. Office staff don't give any accurate information and I suggest that they should be polite and have patience while dealing with the students.There are mostly NGO based internship opportunities which is unpaid and others are for placement. I suggest if a student is from Delhi itself and he/she should join these internship.

Allover Shyam Lal College is better option for Average students.

The all over fee structure is 65000 INR this is very low amount for now a days. Scholarship schems are aslo available in my college. And give students those higher then 80% marks in their course and subjects.

All about DU

The fees here is very very much affordable for almost everyone .....the fees of avg du college is of about 12k - 30k only per annum ....so its highly affordable yet you get to experience a great college life and everything is perfect in that university

Good college of Delhi university

The increase in fees every year is around 10 percent.One can easily get the internships through placement cell of the college. Scholarships is also available for the students based on family income criteria.
