- The quality of social interactions was very very good.each and every student whether it be a senior was very helpful and of helping nature.
- The staff of teachers was very good and well educated . Their way of teaching was also very good.
- Apart from all this , there was a very big playground where we could play outdoor games. There were cultural activities arranged in college.
Dislikes
- The thing which i disliked most is some staff of office. They were very very rude for small things if a student reaches them for any help.
- The canteen service in the college is also not very good and hyegenic
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of the college is also very very good.I am preparing for civil service examination so i opted for BA program in history and political sciences and the course helped me very much in the initial as well as some important aspects in my preparation. So i would say that the course curriculum is also very good in the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Shyam lal college in delhi increases itf fee year by year. The tutuin fee for some of the courses of the college isINR 540.for the entire duration of the course,plus a one time admission fee of INR 500..here are some of the courses and their fees: 1. B.A.(Hons) history: tutiin fee is INR 540 for the entire course ,plus a one time admission fee of INR 500. 2. B.Com: tution fee as well as admission fee is same as above. 3. Certificate courses in stock trading: Total fee is aiNR 7.08 k for a 30 hour course. 4. Diploma in korean language: total fee is INR 16k for a 150 hour course. 5. Diploma in japanese course: total fee is INR 16k for a 150 hour course. 6. The tution fee for B.com(hons) is calculated based on the first year. The one time payment includes theafmission fee and a refundable library security deposit.
Campus Life
The overall campus life is very very good.there are various sports activities that are conducted,a lot of cultural and extra curricular activities keep on going in the society.a large number of societies in the college based on their aim,they help in either preparing for civil services examination, cultural activities, theatre,etc.there is also a very big library in the college and two large computer rooms where we can perform specific tasks.
Admission
The admission process in the college was also very simple i just had applied for DU after my 12th and at my time ,there was merit system. And after the registration, councilling happened and i could choose some colleges that come jnder my merit list. So i chose for this college as i got various reviews from my elders that the colleges that i could get ,thus college is better among all those colleges.
Faculty
The teachers there were very good and talented and of very helpful nature.they taught very well . I could remember my history teacher mrs meenakshi mam. She was very good and treated students like her children. But one thing i would say about faculty members is that some of the teachers that sit in the morning office are very very rude to the students even if the student reaches them for a little help only.there are various semester exams help as well as mini class test also that are organised in class to mark the performance of the students. A total number of 6 semester exams are there in a three year course.
