Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course Bachelor of Science Physical Science with Chemistry curriculum includes subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and other additives subjects which students choose by his/her own interests. I chose this course and college because Ieant to pursue Masters in Physics and while doing this course I can easily get to know my interest in other subjects also. I think practicals in physics and chemistry are same from 50 years and didn't changed a little bit because they are so boring and seems irrelevant doing There is semester exam system in all DU colleges and mostly exams are of 3 hours. Exams are easy to score if you study 2 to 3 days before the exams also.

Internships Opportunities

3

Yes, our college provides internships and students mostly recieves stipend like 5,500 or 6,000 as per their contribution provided in the given tasks in events and programs. But only second and third year students can participate in internships. While placement students who don't get any job can secure and internship easily in roles like content writer and executive in small ventures. In college internship there is not much experience students get but it is good for spreading awareness and organizing events while getting paid also. Highest stipend paid in this year for final year students was 25,000 per month for Analyst role and the average internship stipend was 15,000 per month in small companies.

Placement Experience

3

Just there is a training and placement cell department available with the college by the faculty members but mostly small companies like burger King, Colgate and other recruiting agencies. Average interest received by the final year student is 3 lakhs per annum and the highest package was 7 LPA. Highest stipend for internships was 25,000 per month. Sab students also try to get a job by their own and some students prepare for government exam also. Some students go for further studies like Masters and PhD courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is yearly fee structure for all courses in Delhi University colleges and in my college. Per year fees for my course Bachelor of Science Physical Science with Chemistry is increasing every year. In first year fees was 27,000 in second year I paid 30,000 and in third year I will probably pay same. Yes, the fee structure changes every year and increasing every year in my college for all courses. Fees for Bcom course is around 25,000 and for BA courses fee usually lies between 18,000 to 22,000 per annum.

Campus Life

4

Overall campus life is very good in my college as there is no ragging scene here and there are security guards at each floor and there are many greenery in ground, nursery and parks. Mostly faculty members are supportive and also teaches after classes also and try to clear all doubts of students and pick phone calls. They takes tests after each Unit completion according to the syllabus. There are many societies run by students and some faculty members also like Enterpreneurship, drama, dance, music, singing and subject specified etc. All clubs organizes their annual events. Only Library and auditorium in our is fully Air conditioned, Canteen also have AC but doesn't feel like they are because of crowd temperature. Canteen food is acceptable and value for money. Senior are available and friendly in nature to help freshers in all types of matter.

Admission

I choose this college because this college is most nearest Delhi University college from my home. I got this college because of my CUET marks and the preference list I made in CSAS portal. Cut off for my colleagues is not very high therefore students who want to get a good college and not expecting to get the north campus college prefer my college and the same reason I chose this college. Mostly bachelor of arts and Bachelor of commerce students prefer this college and only few students choose bachelor of science course provided by my college. I think roll colleges for the part it's pieces very high has compared to North campus colleges over the same course for example fees or my course in this college is 30000 while in North campus college it is around 17000 for first year students

Faculty

4

There are usually 20-30 students in each class in all courses in my college. Yes, mostly faculties are approachable for clearing doubts even after class timings. My favourite teachers till now are Prof. Sandeep sir from Mathematics departments and Prof. Padma mam from chemistry department as they cleared my all doubts and taught me all topics from scratch and I scored well in exams too because of these. I didn't liked the Environmental Science department Teacher Sunaina Zutchi because she makes pressure on students to stick through only syllabus and behaves rudely with students. Semester exams are easy to score well if you attend classes regularly and put little extra efforts in your studies.

Night Life

3

Students are not allowed in college after college regular hours and the area around our college is good but not much safe as phone and purse snatching cases are done every month during evening and night time. Therefore, students who stays PGs also try to not come outside their hostel after evening time. Famous hanging areas in our college are Amphitheatre area, Porch Area, Canteen and Main stage area. Locality is safe in the PG area as there are security guards round daily in peak hours. Library is fully Air conditioned and full of all types of books. There are some Gym available outside our college campus in affordable monthly membership rates.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
