Course Curriculum Overview

4

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Internships Opportunities

2

College provides internship opportunity. In our department of zoology, summer internship usually takes place every year during holidays..which is very knowledgeable and interesting, having field visits. In general, there is no paid internship provided in science stream. But in BA or BCom, many companies came for internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee for the course is Rs. 18613. The fee for the entire course remains the same. And there has been no increase so far. The fee in first year was also Rs 18,613. Currently I am in second year. Institution also provide scholarship, including for EWS students. However, I have not explored the scholarship details, I can't provide you exact information or eligibility for this.

Campus Life

4

Overall experience with campus life is vibrant and positive, allowing students to participate beyond academics. Annual fest named "MOSAIC" , it held on March or April, featuring concert , music , dance DJ, stalls, food items, etc... Library is well maintained having AC. It has wide range of books , journel, and e resources, for both academic and research needs. Classrooms are equipped with projector, well maintained seating bench, it lacks Air conditioners. Labs may limit some equipment. Regular sports tournament are organized in our college and have inter department competitions like cricket, volley ball, chess, etc. Gym is there. There are many student run social groups and societies, which are very active, like- debating society, dance society, music society, NGOs, pinnacle, melange, etc..

Admission

I applied to multiple colleges while seeking addmission for this course. While making the preference list, I gone through the college reviews and fee structure. I found ramjas ,has a very decent fee structure. While some other colleges of du has high amount for the same cource. In the first round of CSAS, i got DRC, which is also a nice college of North campus, but has a double fee structure for same course around 38k. I found ramjas, to be a better priority than DRC. Ramjas has more vibrant college vibes than DRC. Admission process is straightforward competitive. Based onn cutoff score of CUET. Eligibility required 12th pass with Physics chemistry and biology . It is a merit based examination. Zoology has higher cutoffs then other bio courses like botany and life science.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are very nice and supportive. In our department, there are around 22-25 faculty. And around 200 students. Faculties are very approachable. You are freely ask your doubts from them. They are very well educated. And has lots of experience of teaching. Arunima ma'am is most senior and experienced faculty, she is very sweet and always punctual to her work. She teaches very nicely, covering all points. Another the sweetest faculty of our department is Shailesh sir, he understands students very well and pays close attention to their concern and thoughts. He is student friendly. There is no faculty which I say I dislike them. So basically, if I talk about exams, then we don't Have any mid semester exams. There is only Internal assessment and final end semester. In Internal assessment, faculty might take class test of 8 marks or above 8, which then evaluate from 8 marks, we also have to submit assignment of 8 marks and 4 marks is of theory attendance. So overall total IA is from 20 marks. Exams are that not much hectic, it's just you have to read it. And attempt all past previous year question, you can easily write exams. Almost every one atleast pass the exam, or there might be chances 1 or 2 , may get failed due to not attended exam. Course curriculum is well developed and follows NEP. Syllabus is interesting, and covering all essential branches of subject, in first year there are subject like.. ecology, cell biology, non Chordata , biomolecules, human physiology, etc..

Night Life

4

Personally, i don't have experience of late night activities because I come from home and i need to reach home at time ????. But I have an idea of it becoz of my friends. Night out is generally safe and calm at a particular time. Area is well patrolled and student friendly, being in North campus of university. Campus itself is most active during days, with facilities like library , gym, cafeterias, which remains open till 7pm.. Currently, hostel is closed in our college, students generally lived in area of vijay nagar, malka ganj, kamla nagar, which is student friendly and is delhi student hub. Inside college, rugby garden is most peaceful spot, amphitheatre area is also good. Near by college, there are many student friendly zone, tom uncle Maggie point, kamlah nagar market, sudama tea stall, Hudson lane, cafe coffee day, etc are most prominent spots after classes.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
