The campus is that huge the annual fest is teknieks its good as special as you and see in iits and nits the classrooms are pretty old sports are encouraged you have a good opportunity as a sports student
Good scholarship opportunity i am from snq quota which stands for a small numerical quota as i only pay 35000 every year there are a lot of scholarship opportunities and many scholarships up to 50,000 are received by my friends.
The faculties are very much supportive and kind also their teaching is also good.

Dislikes

The teachers are good and helping but the learning experience is average as the basic concepts are over dealt and the practical approach is very less and insignificant which makes it irritating and boring.
Hostel facilities are not that good as some toilets are broken, wifi is bad, tec.
Here faculties are very strict they cause a lot of chaos for attendance and deduct marks if you lose attendance lab exams are all conducted very strictly thus increasing the education quality for students.

College life

Likes

Faculty is very nice I like the environment
I like the students they are very cooperative
I like the sports that take place in college

Dislikes

The college hours are very long and it is located far away from city so transportation becomes problem

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college offers a planned syllabus for students which made me took the ISE course. They can improve the curriculum by adding more practical based lessons. They maintain continuous evaluation curriculum which keeps the students in touch with syllabus .

Likes

I liked the college faculties and facility both
There are smart classrooms which provide good quality education.
Overall the college life is nice and there many clubs and societies that you can take part.

Placement Experience:

From fourth or fifth semester the placement begins to start here. Also students are encouraged to apply for jobs through off campus too and are supported via various programmed. There are about 450+ visiting our campus for placements. Some major companies are JP Morgan ,HPE enterprises , fidelity investments, Mercedes Benz etc. A total of 3100 students have been placed in the last 5 years.

Likes

The campus is very big and has many buildings which is easily identifiable.
The faculty there is very good who understands the students and take nessecary steps.
There are many courses which is related to self devolpment as well as all round devolpment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I have taken is computer science engineering. So the faculty here are well versed with the course which makes the students to understand the course very well. Even if the the students does not understand there are teacher for clarification.

Life at NIE Mysore

Likes

Things I like here is faculty as they are quite helping and infrastructure if pretty good as well.
Batchmates are also quite friendly and helpful and quite cooperative as well whenever it comes to help each other in academics.
Labs and infrastructure and overall environment is good as well. One can get positive vibes easily in the campus.

Dislikes

Things I dont like discontinuity of classes sometimes in the campus or a particular class in a week or twice a month.
Sometimes teachers do give a bulk of assignments and deadline is quite short too and puts a bit of pressure.
The distance between north campus and south campus is quite much and it is very exhaustive to go to north campus sometimes for few times.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is pretty balanced and since I was into coding from my childhood so I decided to choose this course. The curriculum does prepare me well for real world applications or further academic pursuits. There is nothing such field or area that needs to be improved apart from a few teaching methods but ya in labs I feel that teachers should pay more attention towards the students because labs are important. The frequency and timing of exams are good as well and we have tests at periodic intervals and exams too at end of semesters.

Good Placements, Tough Curriculum, Average infrastructure and Bare minimum facilities.

Likes

The City is great and peaceful and green and so are the vibes and the festivals
The college faculties are good and helpful always ready to help
The placements ofcourse almost the only reason that made me choose this

Dislikes

The hostel and the accommodation and ffo facilities provided
the travlling time and mode provided to fulfill and justice to the price
The infrastructure of the college is not apt just 2 buildings

There were more than 70% students placed with an average pacakge of 11lpa in CSE, overall the package is around 8-9lacs including all branches. The highest package is around 60lpa and the lowest is around 3lpa. Top recruiters include JP morgan and Mercedes Benz.

Likes

The teachers are exceptional in delivering knowledge to students
No student is left behind and everyone is sure to get a job
The culture and connections you find in this college are exceptional

Dislikes

The curriculum and planning of academics calendar is not well organised
The college timings are pathetic not well organised
Laboratory are not well equipped with machines

Overall the college is very supportive and competitive.

Likes

The overall experience is good for my college especially the opportunities for the various events are same for everyone.
All the students are very friendly and try to support and compete each other.
The placement rate is good and the seniors are very supportive.

Dislikes

The south campus is good as it is in the main city but the north campus is in the industrial area so it is a bit silent place.
The food at the canteen do not provide chicken.
The time slot for the classes is tough as we have to attend classes for 9 to 4:30

I selected the course of CSE as it was my first preference and I got it through the Comedk Ranking cutoff.I selected this course because the world is going towards the computer and it's functioning that is the world is shifting towards technical zone ,so I found I can explore this field.

The library very good environment to study.
The campus is very greens,faculty is also good they teach.
Faculty is very good they teach very well

The campus size is very small. canteen food is not good they also charged high price
Most of the lab have window 7 version which is very samefull
Sometimes staff members not helped quickly if you get any problem

Honest Review of NIE, Mysuru

Likes

The teachers are good highly educated experienced teacher
Placements are also decent, if you study good we will get placed for sure
College is punctual about its exam, visists

Dislikes

Manangemnet could be better, happenings are lot but they fails at doing
They don't have a complete planning for feeding skills in students
Infrastructure is also not upto the mark

I chose this because i am interested about technogy and i chose CSE branch as well. Faculty ratio is good, like teachers are very supportive but teachers or professor are mainly from karnataka only.they are highly qualified as much as we can get knowledge from them in a sufficient amount

Likes

College environment and supporting for co curricular activities
Every time teachers motivation and teacher stay with us in every difficult situation
A good college with a great friend circle everyone is enthusiastic towards their college life

Dislikes

The college location is out of the Mysore the connectivity is not that good
The hostel fees is too much but the food is not as that good what we expect
The college is so strict and has minimum of 85 percentage of attendance
