- It was good the fest was also very good and so much enjoyable and the environment for study was fabulous.
- I have got a scholarship like swami vivekananda scholarship so it helped me a lot.
- Awesome faculty members and teachers are there in our college and their teaching method is fantabulous they help the students alot and make students comfortable in learning and feel free to ask .

- Some faculties are worst they don't teach us properly

- My favorite thing about my college would be the library. The central library that we have on campus has a large variety of books on a lot of different topics. There are lots of books on engineering, statistics, even literary books
- The college canteen is another factor that I like about my college. We have a central canteen which is like the main canteen and we have other 2 canteens as well. The canteen serves amazing meals and the food is quite affordable.
- The labs are incredible. They are well equipped. We have labs for ECE, EE, CSE, Physics, Chemistry, OT, software engineering. The lab assistants too are very helpful and possess vast knowledge on the subjects.
Dislikes
- The washrooms definitely have to be more hygienic and sanitary. That's something that the college must improve on.
- A few of the lab equipments although are available but have been lying idle for a while and could benifit from maintenance or upgrading.
Placement Experience:
Siliguri institute of technology has a history of succession placements. The average package is around 4-5LPA per annum and the highest is 27 LPA per annum.
As of 2024 several renowned companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Amazon, Virtusa, EY have visited the campus for placements. The no. of students who have been placed are around 220+.
The placement is available from 4th year onwards. Students juggle between placement preparation and academics.

- I love the library of our college. It has a variety of books of various genres.
- Our college is located at the center of the tea garden, making the environment peaceful.
- Our college has a number of amenities like basketball court, gym, football ground, etc.
Placement Experience:
From 5th and 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements.
Companies like AMAZON, P360, WIPRO, GEMINI, NETFLIX, TCS, etc. hire a number of students for placements.
Last year, a student from our college achieved a package of 51LPA. The average package of our college is 5-6 LPA.

- Physics faculty should be increased we need more number of good and quality physics teachers

- Number of bus route should be increased .
- They took a fees of 4500 rs for dress in which they give 2 tshirts 2 pant piece and 2 shirt piece, I think according to price it's not worth it for uniform

- The college has a beautiful environment. The campus is large in the middle of a tea garden and has lots of trees a small Stream flows in front of the college and there are hangout spots beside it and has a mountain facing view
- The students can make any social clubs and will get mentored by professors.
- Each class is divided into groups of 15 students and get mentored by a professor.
Dislikes
- The gym equipments are very old and it isn't maintained very well
- The Library doesn't have any back-up power supply can be troublesome in summer days
- The professors can be ride sometimes and can pry into personal lives even after stating that the issue is personal
Placement Experience:
From 6th and 7th Semester students get eligible for campus placements.
The companies that visit are TCS,. Cognizant, Dell, intel, Amazon, Microsoft, McAfee, Hp etc
70% plus gets placed every year.
Students must maintain a cgpa above 7 to be eligible for campus placements.
After getting a degree I want to develop my career as a software engineer and product manager.

- The professors were well qualified and our HOD has always been a sweetheart. Our HOD always helped anyone and everyone who needed it.
- Our campus is very beautiful and very green.
- Many clubs and events to participate in.
Dislikes
- Canteen food is way too expensive and not hygienic.
- Club room is only open after 1:30 pm which is very unfair if any class gets cancelled.
- People can get bullied even after lot of actions taken against ragging.
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course was quite good if we are talking about 1st year, 3rd year and 4th year. In the second year we were taught some arts subjects which were not at all relevant to our course. Subjects like industrial management were taught.

Placement percentage of our college is 85 to 90 percent. From 4 th year or 7 th sem students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, capegimini, Mahindra and other visit our college.
My plan after college is off campus placement because I want to crack big MNC like facebook.

- Most of the facilities are good, and have extensive knowledge about their subject. Some professors have great way of teaching that makes it easy to learn that specific subject.
- Seniors are helpful and help us whenever possible from their side, especially during competitions.
- Surrounding environment is really great. During breaks, one can easily go to the mountain, have snacks and return easily. Or can have a fun time in the nearby water stream.
Dislikes
- Just like many other colleges, I didn't find the reason to learn Workshop. The Graphics subject was aslo irrelevant to my course. Even though they give reasons to include these subjects in our curriculum, but I still find it irrelevant.
- I don't like the teaching style of some specific facilities. It is as if they are saying and writing the exact words of the book instead of making is understand the concepts.
- Many unnecessary assignments with tight schedule, specifically during the even semester when we have very very less time. We got only 3 months for preparation of 2nd semester.

Placement Experience:
What I have gained from the seminars hosted by the Placement Cell of our college is that, they will give their 100% to bring as many companies possible and provide placement as long as students maintain their academic record and develop their skills.
But getting a single backlog paper in any semester can can hinder in the process of getting placement.
And what I've heard from senior is that, the placement Cell will prepare you for the interview as long the students can clear the previous rounds.
