Life in SIT SILIGURI

Curriculum is overall good but it would have been much better if college provide more practical knowledge like web development or any other development in course. Exams are not that much tough even if you fail you are promoted you can clear backlog in alternative semester.

Placement percentage of our college is 85 to 90 percent. From 4 th year or 7 th sem students become eligible for campus placement. Companies like TCS, capegimini, Mahindra and other visit our college. My plan after college is off campus placement because I want to crack big MNC like facebook.

I am currently in second year of CSE department. Speaking of College infrastructure is great but campus size is not so big. Placement are happening, around 85% get placed. Highest placement till now 47 lpa. Fees are generally increasing with time. But once you are admitted you will get the whole 4 year fee structure. Many students are studying under scholarship, their fees are very less like they are just paying 80k for whole course. Most of the students opt for Swami vivekananda scholarship. And wbjee scholarships for economic weaker section( annual income less than 1 lakh).

My campus life is amazing. I love in pg near college. In our pg all my batchmates lives so it's just like any hostel we enjoy very much. College infrastructure is great we have lift facility in main building and wifi facility in whole campus.

I choose this college because I liked the infrastructure and wanted to study btech CSE and our college fees was lesser than others. And placement percentage is also good. That's why I choose this college.

There is a huge faculty in our college. Every student gets a mentor which helps them in their registrations or if students face problem. We have 4 CA exam one practical exam and finally theory exam in the end of semester. 4 CA marks are given by college faculty and theory paper is checked online by makaut.
