Likes

Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college

Dislikes

The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

Likes

College infrastructure and facilities are decent and well maintained
The environment around college is pleasing
College faculty is very helpful and friendly

Dislikes

75% attendance criteria is strictly followed which should be relaxed
The faculty is mostly bengali and they sometimes used bengali language to explain topics which is inconvenient for non bengali students
There is not much night life in this college due to strict rules and haldia being a small township

There is a seperate traning and placement cell for helping final year students get interviews from companies who visit the campus for placement company like wipro, Infosys , Cognizant , etc. The highest package last year was of 33 lpa

College campus are big, and there is a restaurant of college for eating and departmental stores for all stuffs
Provide labs in all type of departments.
good tech fest and cultural fest, with lots of fun games.

Dislikes

Wheather is too hot during summer which I feel not good
attendance createria of 75% is not good.
Some time faculty are start talking in Bengali languages whih we don't understand easly.

Placement Experience:

The placements of of the college is okay okay , it's is 4 -5 LPA, but in previous year the placements percentage is not much good than the more previous year , if you not get placements then you can apply for off campus. But if you gained all skills according to requirments of the company's then you get easly placed.

infrastructure is really good and campus is filled with grounds and lakes
faculties are very good and friendly and explains every topic properly
course curriculum is very industry relevant

Dislikes

attendance is strict and requires you to attend every class whatsoever
night life is very restricted and there's less to nothing to do here as it is a very small town
food is satisfactory but could have been better

the curriculum is very industry relavant and there are elective courses in third and fourth year to make a student ready for a proper job environment. first year subjects could have been better and some subjects feels unneccessary

Likes

The college has a really big campus and sports facilities which I loved the most
The placement was average 95 percent students got placed with an average package of 4 lakhs per annum

Dislikes

I dislike the ragging issue of the college which was quite alot because of the hostels being inside the campus of all the years .

Placement Experience:

Form 6 th semester you are eligible for placements . Companies start coming to the campus . Companies like. Tech Mahindra , cognizant , Mindtree , infosys etc come for the it sector and companies like l&t ,gulf asia ,labvantage , simplex etc come for the core branches

Good college for placement

Likes

Good infrastructure with big campus area and teachers are so humble and well desipline
Alloted separate 1st year hostels in 1k distance from college campus
Boys and Girls ratio is 6.5:3.5 and Girls have alloted separate hostels

Dislikes

75% attendance is mendetory this is so boring
College have specific dress code this is disgusting
Ragging is the big problem in my collage

Hm! In my collage under maulana abul Kalam azad University so very old syllabus which is not required in the growing world but my collage have specialization courses like AI-ML, DATA SCIENCE. Collage timings for classes is good.

Collage campus and grounds very clean and thier are two canteen
There is restaurant name garden restaurant food is delicious
Faculties are very good college placement are also very good

Placement Experience:

College gives us priorities to sit in placement form. 3rd year, compenies visiting in our college are- cognizant ,Wipro, tcs,etc..higest package is 52 lakh and avg package is 8lakh oer anum.....

The college campus is the best among the private colleges in West Bengal .
The labs are well mentioned and every lab have ac
The girls to boys ration is good in our college .It is 1:5

Dislikes

The course curriculum is not updated.there are some unwanted subjects in it
There are on campus internship opportunities for 3rd year students
All the teachers are not so good.some are good but not all

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is good . Current year almost all of the students are placed in good company with average package of 4.5 lpa . And the student are happy to get job .the company which come to give placement are pwc us, cognizant, Capgemini,capsitech, Mindtree,IBM ETC

Likes

Teacher come class on time, time is maintaining
There is a big campus and infrastructure
Placement is also good, every years there's a lot of company visit the college

Dislikes

Fees structure of hit college are too high..

I would rate the course curriculum 10 on 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. I wanted to opt of this course that made me to choose the same. The course fees is too high. Otherwise it is nice.

The campus is green and beautiful and the infrastructure is well maintained
The faculties are quite helpful. they have expertise in their respective feilds
The college organizes technical fest- PRAYUKTI as well as cultural fest -RIVIERA

Dislikes

The quality of mess food is not upto the mark
Cleanliness of hostel is not good enough

Studdents are eligible for placements from 7th semester. TCS, wipro infosys pwc ,accenture visits the college every year . Average package offered is 4-6LPA per year. i a planning to do masters after completing my btech.

HIT haldia - Honest review

Likes

The faculty is good for my stream and it's cooperative in itself.
The attendance policy is good. No such 75% attendance is there atleast for my branch.

Dislikes

The senior culture is too strict in the college. Fights takes place sometimes
Mess food and surroundings are not that good that is no actual enjoyment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is pretty good but I think it's still outdated. And talking about the exams it's pretty much ranging from medium to hard. Tho suggestions are given which are actually the whole syllabus tbh that to get good marks we have study for the same else you can get back too.

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC

Courses:

The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.

Placements:

As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.

Fest:

The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
