Placement
There are no placements that happen per say but we do have job fairs. In these job fairs, some of the companies conduct interviews. There were few internship opportunities from my department. Median salary would be around $80000.
I chose this university because: 1. The course curriculum it offers; we have the flexibility to choose our own electives from different disciplines related to our field. 2. Experienced faculty with a huge number of citations. 3. Good College and program ranking Overall experience at the University - satisfied

We are government-funded and there are lots of biotech/medical opportunities, but it is competitive, I haven't graduated yet .
My overall experience is overwhelmingly positive. I met a lot of incredibly nice people and my program's research is cutting-edge. My PI's were all very nice and I like being able to be hands-on. I have joined the MCBC and gaming club. My dorm is extremely clean. I chose this college because of the research opportunities and great program/connections/networking.

- The weather here in Tucson can get a little hot, which might be a problem for some but otherwise the university of arizona is a great place to be. Some changes in culture might be hard for a foreign grad student to adopt to but otherwise they make sure you feel at home. null
Internship
I haven't been through this yet as I am a new student, but from what I have heard from seniors is that its obtainable depending on the skillset of student.

- To start off my research and development in the field of astrophysics I needed to start from basic and learn about the sub branches of this field along with what really interests me in pursuing further. The simplification of complex concepts was very beneficial to me in that idea to learn the basics before starting to work in the field. null
- The University of Arizona excels in its ability to present complex astrophysics concepts in an easily understandable manner, making it an ideal learning environment for students. The faculty's skill in breaking down intricate theories into digestible content ensures that students can grasp even the most challenging ideas with ease. null
- Moreover, the astrophysics program at the University of Arizona takes a refreshing approach to assessments. The tests are designed in a way that turns the learning process into an enjoyable experience. The incorporation of interactive elements, practical applications, and real-world scenarios transforms traditional testing into an engaging adventure. null
- In essence, the University of Arizona's commitment to simplifying complex concepts and its innovative approach to testing contribute to a uniquely enriching educational journey in the field of astrophysics. null
Dislikes:
- Some advanced learners might find that the material lacks the depth they desire. Striking a balance between accessibility and challenging content could be a consideration. If you aim to learn the basics to understand what interests you the most and what is just a fun knowledge to know about this coursework would provide much more clarity to those people. null
- For students who are seeking an extremely rigorous and highly competitive academic environment, the emphasis on making concepts easily understandable and tests enjoyable could be perceived as lacking in challenge. They might be looking for a program that pushes them to their limits academically. null
Placement
Well this just a coursework so you would not be sitting for research opportunities by the university but you can definitely apply off campus and also talk with the faculty for any research collaboration.
Internship
I interned at SSERD in Banglore where I researched about the effects of solar corona on earth. It was an unpaid internship. Later I got selected in an international 1 year long research program by Deep Space Initiatives.
