- I mostly like the professors and the way they teach. null
Dislikes:
- I don’t think I dislike anything, but maybe since the market is down placements are bad. null
Overview
I chose this university because I got a scholarship and it ranked better than other colleges I applied to.
Fees

Likes:
- Lack of other options. This University was my safety option, and I did not get into the other Universities I wanted to opt for. But the reason why I decided to opt for this University is because at the end of the day, unlike India, the University tag matters very little in the United States and what matters is how skilled you are at what you do. And in that aspect, I think this University provides and equips you with the right knowledge and resources to get skilled in the field of Data Science just like any other University would. null
- I like the location where the University is situated. It feels very safe, but quite expensive if you're living next to the campus. There are many resources to leverage for career development and extensive help and support is provided in the same. Most faculties are extremely adept at the subjects they teach but you need to do your research before registering for classes. I found the entire course as comprehensive as possible when it comes to data science which is an extremely broad field. null
Dislikes:
- Few courses in the initial semesters assume no background knowledge in any mathematical or statistical concepts. This forces the instructor to start from complete basics. This could feel like a waste of time for students who possess the required background. People from different fields possessing no coding or mathematical knowledge are permitted into the course which seemed a little strange. This is the reason why most professors are forced to start from scratch. null
- The Data Science department career coaches and mentors are NOT catered towards careers in data science. They provide very generic mentorship which people can still benefit from initially but after a point you do need someone who can provide you with specialized aid. null
Likes:
- Scholarship, Location, Course structure, Research opportunities. null
- I genuinely appreciate my university for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, the extensive research opportunities available here are exceptional, allowing me to engage in cutting-edge projects and contribute to the advancement of knowledge. The well-structured course curriculum ensures a comprehensive and enriching educational experience. null
- Its prime location provides me with a perfect blend of urban convenience and natural beauty, making campus life truly enjoyable. The university goes the extra mile in catering to students' diverse needs, offering an array of dining options that cater to every palate. Moreover, the prospect of securing up to a 50% scholarship in the School of Engineering and Applied Science is a testament to the institution's commitment to promoting academic excellence and easing the financial burden for deserving students. All these factors make me proud to call my university my academic home. null
Dislikes:
- Firstly, the teaching quality can vary among professors, and some may not deliver the material as effectively as others, which can make the learning experience less consistent. Additionally, as a private university, the tuition fees can be on the higher side, which could be a significant financial burden for students who do not receive scholarships. These are areas where I believe there's potential for the university to enhance the overall educational experience and alleviate financial stress for its students. null
Overview
Good. Campus life, course structure, living and eating options, scholarship opportunity, location is all great. But I expected better faculty, placement opportunity.
Fees
$18800 including all the fees(student association, ISO, tuition) everything for 9 credits. Plus 1100 insurance for each Fall semester, 1600 for each Spring semester. (This is university's health insurance, but you have the option to buy it from outside and get this waived off). I did not buy the university's health insurance.
Overview
George Washington University is one of the top universities for my major- International Affairs. It is ranked 7th in the US for the same. The prime location of the university in Washington DC also offers an array of advantages. The university offers a top-notch faculty with influential speaker sessions and fun and exciting activities.
Fees
$72,000 per year. Rs. 53,28,000
Overview
It is one of the finest institutes for my major, with an amazing academic curriculum and highly knowledgeable faculty. The facilities available are equally amazing and state-of-the-art. Also, the location and the region are one of the best in the US and ideal for any new coming student.
Fees
The approx fees per credit are $1500. One has to complete at least 30 credits to be eligible to graduate so the overall fee is approx $45000.
