- Location: I love how the university is located in the center and integrated into the city, giving us a feel of home wherever we go.
- Structured curriculum: All the courses here at Pitt are brilliantly structured based on the various industry requirements post-graduation.
- Student-Faculty ratio: All of us here have access to all the professors and additional industry experts who help mentor us throughout the process.
Dislikes
- Tuition cost: Even though Pitt offers great scholarships, the tuition fees are on the higher side especially for international students compared it to other public universities.
- Limited diversity: Some programs here at Pitt have less diversity of people. For example: my cohort has only one international student that is me.
- High cost of housing: Since the university is located in the city, the cost of housing is pretty high.
- Masters students go for off-campus housing. I had a family friend of mine who stays here who helped me out with the housing.
- The monthly rent for my house is $1,000 plus $200 for utilities. The house is unfurnished but the kitchen is furnished.
- Luckily I did not face any issues. The house is located about 1 mile from the campus which takes me about 15-20 mins by walk. Most of the Indian students stay in walking distance to campus.

Dislikes
- Expensive Tuition Fees.
- Challenging Climatic Conditions.
- Networking opportunities are limited.
- I have opted for off-campus. I found friends who also got accepted into the University of Pittsburgh through discord and whatsapp. I looked for accommodation with my friend in apartment.com or zillow. I also took help from seniors in Pittsburgh to verify the accomodation.
- Finding a good accomodation was really challenging, there are aspects you would want to consider like heating, rent, neighborhood, utilities.
- Finding a reasonable accomodation closer to campus was challenging.Consider giving importance to good heating in the house; make sure heating is included in your rent and don't have to pay extremely high electric bills. It is also good to stay closer to the campus.

Top rated public university in the country. Frequent career fairs (job fairs). Ample on-campus job opportunities. Affordable city for living (rent is cheaper). Free public transportation for students.
I was interested in Natural Language Processing and there is some good research done in this university
The location was near home and in a good place. The school name is world renowned. I knew there were a lot of alumni, especially in my field. Overall seemed like a good choice for undergraduates studies.
I was looking for a medium-sized school in the Midwest or east coast, as well as an accessible urban campus where I would be able to do things outside of the school. Pitt checked all the boxes and I fell in love with the campus when I visited for the first time.
