- I knew people who had come here and they had quite positive review. Also, their research in undergrad is quite good.
Overview
It is quite good but comes with a lot of responsibilities as I am very far from home.
Campus Life
It has 24×7 libraries, two museums and lot of studying spots. Also, the faculty is quite helpful and so are students.
Likes
- Good funding opportunities, very affordable college town and plenty of on campus opportunities.
- KU offers good funding opportunities for international grad students.
- KU has good research projects and resources in the fields of ML and AI.
Dislikes
- Graduate courses are not so much relevant to the corporate or tech industry except for 1-3 courses.
- Competition for TA and RA is more right now compared to 2 years in the past.
- More Indians and hence more competition.
Overview
Experience of a life time, I have got more funding support than I have expected and overall experience was great.
Campus Life
The university itself has lot of international clubs that students can participate and volunteer for. Libraries are excellent. Wifi is available everywhere on campus. Recreation center is free for students during winter and spring terms. Transport through university bus is free through out the town.
Overview
I wanted to stay in-state because of family and costs. KU is the only university with a medical school as I was pre-med. They also have one of the highest ranking honors programs. They have the Pell Grant advantage, which covers most of my tuition and fees. The campus is beautiful and Lawrence is a great college town.
Fees
KU has tuition depending on the number of credit hours you are taking. There are charges for violations of parking and university property. Typically, if you have an overdue amount on your account then the University will put a hold on your account prohibiting you from enrolling in classes next semester.
