  • I googled it’s called grandmarc at seven corners, it was cheap and fit my budget along with the university business school was steps away, helps with the extreme weather, my rent was 489 as I lived in a shared bedroom, a bed mattress and desk were provided with a shared bathroom for each room in a 2 bed 2 bath, there was a couch and coffee table along with a dining table, in unit laundry and each bathroom had a bathtub.
  • I faced no challenges in finding accommodation; it was a smooth transition, as I had the apartment before I landed in the US; my accommodation was 200 metres from the business school where my classes were located on the West Bank but the rest of the university was a 5-minute campus bus ride away. I’d say you can use the light rail to get to the rest of the campus on the east bank, which was just 1 stop. The light rail was covered under the university ID which changed recently, I think. I’m not sure.

  • I choose an off-campus apartment, which is what everybody prefers since it is flexible and affordable.
  • Rent can vary from as low as 400 to 1000 depending on the type of room that you choose, the apartment and the location.
  • I did not really face any challenges while looking for an apartment; you have a lot of resources provided by the university and online to find the right apartments for you. Most students live in Prospect Park and Dinkytown, which are pretty close to campus. Other areas include St. Paul and Como, which require a commute.

I chose this university as it is one of the best university in the world for Chemical Engineering. Overall, my experience has been good. Since there is a significant population of Indian students, it is easy to adjust into the university culture. In addition, a lot of sporting facilities are available in the university where one can spend time apart from academics. The library in the university is very vast with nearly all the books.

I chose this university because of the business program, the Carlson School of Management is ranked very highly across the nation for business schools. So far the college experience is great and I have zero complaints, I would definitely recommend to other students!

It was wonderful and great. I feel great that I could get the chance to extend to bilateral development and cultural exchange.

It was scary at first moving to a new country and not knowing anything but the welcoming nature and inclusiveness of the people made me feel at home and the curriculum is designed well and had ample opportunities to grow in this environment.

I applied for this college because it was the cheapest. I transferred to UMD from Michigan Tech my sophomore year because I couldn't afford Michigan Tech anymore. I only applied to 2 schools during my senior year of high school. The application fees for Michigan Tech were free but at UMD it was $50.

The programs they offered were exactly what I was looking for. Most colleges did not offer any animal science-based programs, hence my decision. Plus I could live closer to home so that was another reason.
