Students’ Reviews from Reddit and Collegedunia:
- Students say the university has strong academics (especially CS, engineering, business), but it’s very competitive, rigorous, and sometimes feels disconnected or cliquey in large classes.
- Campus life and Austin location are vibrant and fun for outgoing students, but some find it overhyped, superficial, or stressful due to high pressure and prestige focus.
- Faculty are very skilled and specialised, while the curriculum stands out for its quality, variety of courses, and clear focus on industry-relevant skills and standards.
- Scholarships and financial aid are extremely limited for international students, with most reporting little to no meaningful support from the university. When awards are given, they are usually small (e.g., USD 1,000 - 5,000 total or per semester), highly competitive, and rarely enough to cover major costs.
