  • The campus life at UTD was great, with a lot of events, festivals, clubs, and activities to select from. There were a lot of cultural festivals and events on campus throughout the year, which were a fantastic way to learn about different cultures and traditions. The university also had a lot of clubs and organizations, from academic and professional clubs to recreational and sports clubs.
  • I was part of the UTD Computer Science Club. It was a great way to get to know other students who shared the same interests as me. The club hosted numerous activities and events, including hackathons, coding competitions, and tech talks. We also had a lot of fun at game nights, movie nights, and other social events.

Overview

I chose UTD because of its excellent academic reputation, especially in Computer Science, and also due to the good career opportunities that comes with it as a result of partnerships with leading companies such as Amazon and Verizon. For my career aspirations, it was essential that I am located in USA which is known as hub of technology and innovations. Equally important to my decision was the fact that family members live around and they can provide both personal help as well as academic assistance. The experience has been all encompassing - academics apart; I have taken part in such activities like ACM and playing for their cricket team. A lively student life is what the campus offers; one striking thing about it is that there exists a balance between academic pursuits and social activities.

Campus life is good. I am part of a few organizations such as ACM and MSA. I also play cricket for the university team, which has been an incredible way to build teamwork and leadership skills. Balancing academics with sports and extracurriculars enhances my overall college experience, helping me grow both professionally and personally while making lifelong connections.

Overview

I chose UTD because the Naveen Jindal School of Management is one of the finest in the country and the courses offered at UTD are really relevant and flexible and that is something that aligned with what I wanted to do. I also chose UTD because of the state of Texas, since there are a lot of Indians as well and cities like Austin and Dallas have plenty of opportunities almost equivalent to the west coast.

Other than academics, I believe there is a lot going on in terms of student led clubs, sports, events, activities etc. You just have to look out for all these events and decide which one you want to go to since there are events going on probably everyday. The student organization network is huge here and there are lot of opportunities that revolve around them as well. These organizations hold multiple events and talk shows with industry leaders. One of the clubs that I would like to recommend is Envision. It is a data visualization student organization at the Naveen Jindal School of Management and its aim is to help students with data and how to sell that data. For freshers who are enthusiastic about joining any student organization, Envision should definitely be one of the top choices. I myself benefitted from this as they held bootcamps and hackathons and I was able to understand and apply these skills in projects. Therefore I highly recommend joining this student organization.

Overview

I chose this university as it had good ranking for masters in business analytics; most people from the batch got job on time. Overall experience has been pretty positive although the fees is higher if you don’t get a scholarship. So try to score well in GRE and get a scholarship to make it worth.

Overview

I submitted 1 SOP, resume 3 LORs for my application. I wrote about my interest in the MSBA program and I linked it to how my professional experience of 1.5 years is relevant to this degree. I also mentioned relevant projects and extracurricular experience. LORs were given by my professors. My resume consisted information about my experience, educations, skills and projects. I was interested in UTD because of the ability to choose courses from various schools. Also, the location of the college is great and gives a homely feeling. I heard good reviews of this particular program and decided to go with it. I chose this program because I had experience with data in my workplace. I liked my work and wanted to explore it. It is a good university with great professors and academic programs. The infrastructure and extracurricular activities are good too. But I would say that it is very expensive without scholarship.

I feel that the campus life is really good. I am an active person so I get involved in different on-campus activities. I especially make use of the pool tables almost daily. The campus infrastructure is nice and clean and we would want to explore more of it. There is always some activity or the other going on with free food. It is a great thing for international students especially.
