No, there was no interview and or any test. Because, the tuition fee is quite less than other university. Computer Science department has some amazing professors with amazing papers they have worked on and have been working on a lot of recent technologies.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is quite good for Computer Science. They also provide different tracks that you can follow if you want to learn according to particular field you are interested in.
Faculty
they mostly have 60:1 student faculty ratio. Professors are really approachable. They always provide office times in which you can meet and talk to them whether it about class or you want to ask something else. Sriram Natarajan is one of the ML professors but he is very knowledgeable and know very well how to convey that knowledge to others.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite diverse. Many country based clubs are available as well as clubs related to proper field in tech are also available. E.g. Data Science club, ACM, AIS Artificial Intelligence Society, SWE society of women engineers etc.
Placement
Recession has hit us really hard - placements has become quite hard. Finding on-campus is easy. But we have career fairs.
Accommodation
I live off campus Around 500$ for rent without utilities UTD provides free Dart buses as well.

No, I have not got any scholarship since I applied to UT Dallas very late for admission. Applying as early as possible will help in getting scholarship.
