I submitted 1 SOP, resume 3 LORs for my application. I wrote about my interest in the MSBA program and I linked it to how my professional experience of 1.5 years is relevant to this degree. I also mentioned relevant projects and extracurricular experience. LORs were given by my professors. My resume consisted information about my experience, educations, skills and projects. I was interested in UTD because of the ability to choose courses from various schools. Also, the location of the college is great and gives a homely feeling. I heard good reviews of this particular program and decided to go with it. I chose this program because I had experience with data in my workplace. I liked my work and wanted to explore it. It is a good university with great professors and academic programs. The infrastructure and extracurricular activities are good too. But I would say that it is very expensive without scholarship.

Course Curriculum

8

One reason I joined this program is because of the curriculum. We can choose electives from different concentrations so that we can choose a career path. The syllabus is updated and takes into account new technologies. I was not given any industrial or research experience.

Faculty

8

The faculty to student ratio is on average 1:60. The core courses will have this ratio but the electives will have 1:30 ratio. Some professors are extraordinary and I feel like their classes are informative. Not all faculty is like that. But I must say that most of them are approachable and friendly with good knowledge. My favorite professor is Prof. K. Srikanth who teaches Database Foundations.

Campus Life

9

I feel that the campus life is really good. I am an active person so I get involved in different on-campus activities. I especially make use of the pool tables almost daily. The campus infrastructure is nice and clean and we would want to explore more of it. There is always some activity or the other going on with free food. It is a great thing for international students especially.

Placement

8

There are many career fairs that happen on-campus. Companies like DART, Goldman Sachs and many other local companies visit. I have never been to one, so I'm not sure about the statistics and process.

Accommodation

Off Campus
7

There are many communities around UTD where students stay. They are convenient because there is free bus service. The communities are well-maintained and the average rent per person will be around $600 if 4 people live in a 2B2B apartment. It contains all facilities like washer, dryer, oven, induction and microwave. Other utilities including water, sewage, electricity, wifi will cost an additional 150-200$.

Exams

"GRE Score 159 Verbal 164 Quant 3.5 Writing; Duolingo Score 120" There were no interview rounds or university-specific tests. They consider the GRE scores, GPA and overall profile.

Fees

Tuition fee for my program is $18000 per semester. Approximately $72000 for the program.
