  • I joined few WhatsApp groups to find accommodation near campus
  • Rent was approx. $600 since I opted for a gated community, which is much safer than other places. The kitchen will be equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc. The house will be air-conditioned and will have laundry machines as well. Most have garages and spaces to park your vehicle. Any repairs will be done by the leasing office staff of the particular community.
  • Always finding accommodation in a new country is challenging. Finding roommates who match your character is the most difficult part. If you are on a budget, then finding a decent place with good reviews is time-consuming. overall if looked at the right places, then you will find a decent place.
  • My recommendation for future students is to find places that are on the route of the college shuttle or public bus. so travel is not an issue. Find accommodation where grocery stores and necessary amenities are near so you can access them without a vehicle. I would suggest go for gated communities since strangers can enter the community easily and much safer.
  • My accommodation was 10 mins away from campus. I usually took the UTD shuttle to travel to campus, which took 15-18 mins to reach campus by going around to pick up students. Most Indians stay in places near campus like estates of Frankford, Marquis at waterview, Ashwood, Estates of Richardson, Pearl at Frankford, MAA housing, etc., which are on the route of the UTD shuttle.

  • I took it off campus. I found the accommodation through a whatsapp and telegram groups.
  • Monthly rent was $1848 plus utilities around $50. Refrigerator, Washer, Dryer, Wi-Fi are available.
  • Trying to find better accommodation with a moderate price which is close to the University. Should be student friendly and a clean environment.
  • It was really competitive to find one for a better price. My advice would be to try to book the apartment at an early stage for a lower price.
  • It takes around 10 minutes from my place to University. Many Indian students have stayed in EOF.

  • I chose to stay off-campus as it was affordable and suitable. There are several places where one can reside off-campus in the Richardson area, including apartments and shared homes. I lived in an apartment with some of my classmates, and this saved us money in addition to having friends around.
  • The apartment facility provided us with everything that we needed, such as a gym, pool, and parking. My rent was around $800/month, which included utilities like Wi-Fi, electricity, and water. Shared accommodations helped reduce costs further.

I chose UTD because of its excellent academic reputation, especially in Computer Science, and also due to the good career opportunities that comes with it as a result of partnerships with leading companies such as Amazon and Verizon. For my career aspirations, it was essential that I am located in USA which is known as hub of technology and innovations. Equally important to my decision was the fact that family members live around and they can provide both personal help as well as academic assistance. The experience has been all encompassing - academics apart; I have taken part in such activities like ACM and playing for their cricket team. A lively student life is what the campus offers; one striking thing about it is that there exists a balance between academic pursuits and social activities.

I chose UTD because the Naveen Jindal School of Management is one of the finest in the country and the courses offered at UTD are really relevant and flexible and that is something that aligned with what I wanted to do. I also chose UTD because of the state of Texas, since there are a lot of Indians as well and cities like Austin and Dallas have plenty of opportunities almost equivalent to the west coast.

I chose this college because it had a good Biotechnology program, good pricing, and this degree is competitive in the job market. Overall, It was a great, enlightening experience where I learned to be independent, make friends, connect with professors and companies, and also where I worked hard and accomplished a lot. Now I have great job offers with good pay and a firm start to my professional life.

I chose this university as it had good ranking for masters in business analytics; most people from the batch got job on time. Overall experience has been pretty positive although the fees is higher if you don’t get a scholarship. So try to score well in GRE and get a scholarship to make it worth.

I submitted 1 SOP, resume 3 LORs for my application. I wrote about my interest in the MSBA program and I linked it to how my professional experience of 1.5 years is relevant to this degree. I also mentioned relevant projects and extracurricular experience. LORs were given by my professors. My resume consisted information about my experience, educations, skills and projects. I was interested in UTD because of the ability to choose courses from various schools. Also, the location of the college is great and gives a homely feeling. I heard good reviews of this particular program and decided to go with it. I chose this program because I had experience with data in my workplace. I liked my work and wanted to explore it. It is a good university with great professors and academic programs. The infrastructure and extracurricular activities are good too. But I would say that it is very expensive without scholarship.

No, there was no interview and or any test. Because, the tuition fee is quite less than other university. Computer Science department has some amazing professors with amazing papers they have worked on and have been working on a lot of recent technologies.
