The post-study placement opportunities for Computer Science students at UTD are impressive. High profile organizations such as Amazon, Verizon, Microsoft and Intel are regular visitors to the campus searching for new talents. The university’s Career Center oversees resume screening, technical interviews and coding challenges as part of the placement procedure. Each year a good number of students manage to secure internships as well as full-time positions in software development, data science and cloud engineering. On average, around 85% of graduates get employed within six months with an approximate median salary of $90,000. For those who want to specialize in academic research areas there are also great opportunities at UTD like AI or cybersecurity.

I chose UTD because of its excellent academic reputation, especially in Computer Science, and also due to the good career opportunities that comes with it as a result of partnerships with leading companies such as Amazon and Verizon. For my career aspirations, it was essential that I am located in USA which is known as hub of technology and innovations. Equally important to my decision was the fact that family members live around and they can provide both personal help as well as academic assistance. The experience has been all encompassing - academics apart; I have taken part in such activities like ACM and playing for their cricket team. A lively student life is what the campus offers; one striking thing about it is that there exists a balance between academic pursuits and social activities.

There are a lot of companies that visit UTD like, JPMC, Goldman, Amazon, Kohler, Capital One, AT$T, T - mobile, Lennox etc. The average salary ranges from 95k to 150k with a median salary of around 105k. I believe this number is really good considering the tax rates in Texas. There are multiple career fairs where you can go meet multiple recruiters face to face and talk with them about the opportunities which I feel is a really good way to push your resume in the corporate world.

I chose UTD because the Naveen Jindal School of Management is one of the finest in the country and the courses offered at UTD are really relevant and flexible and that is something that aligned with what I wanted to do. I also chose UTD because of the state of Texas, since there are a lot of Indians as well and cities like Austin and Dallas have plenty of opportunities almost equivalent to the west coast.

Students branch out in a wide variety of fields. Average salary may be USD 60,000 per annum for new professionals. We applied for jobs independently with no campus placements. Professors write letters of recommendation upon request.

Almost everyone got a job, from my knowledge the average salaries are anywhere between 75-90k usd depending on which city you will get a job.

I interned at a start up in Chicago as a data analyst intern for 10 months which made job hunt easier for me.

There are many career fairs that happen on-campus. Companies like DART, Goldman Sachs and many other local companies visit. I have never been to one, so I'm not sure about the statistics and process.

I am in the 2nd semester. I haven't applied to any jobs yet. But from what I see, there are a lot of job fairs being held. So I think that there is a good chance of reaching out to top companies.

It is a good university to study at. The campus life is good, the academic aspect is good. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive if there's no scholarship. Weigh the options well.

More than 90% of the seniors placed within 6 months of graduation. Recruitment across domains and industries of various sizes in product as well as consultant companies.

Finished one semester here at UTD. Wonderful experience so far. Learned a lot of new skills professionally and academically. Made a lot of new friends. Getting accustomed to the new style of learning in the US. Continuous assessments and graded homeworks are new and need to familiarise with. Been part of some student clubs and organisations. Looking forward to the next semester.

A lot companies visits campus but the intake rate for UTD is too huge so very less chance. I'm still applying to get a job will be able to learn more after I get one.

Its good for campus life but not from job factor. For a single part-time on-campus job itself vacancy to application ratio is about 1-400. So, anyone can imagine.
