Focused on highly sought after robotics and AI courses like Computer vision, robot sensing and estimation, intelligent robots, Deep learning as well.
Faculty
Faculty - student ratio: 1:17, I am particularly intrigued by Professor Ibrahim Volkan Isler's work on Agriculture Robotics - specifically the development of computer vision algorithms for obstacle avoidance and row crop monitoring, as well as image-based yield mapping and Environmental Monitoring.
Campus Life
UMN is recognized for sports, cleanliness and volunteerism. The school has a campus in each city in Minnesota, though the Minneapolis site is considered the main campus of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Placement
In the Robotics and computer science departments, almost 90% students get placed every year For research there are ample opportunities and labs within campus, now UMN has a separate institute for robotics as well.
Accommodation
Accommodation is off campus for all graduate and Ph.d students Average rent is around 500-600$ per month.
