  • One thing I dislike is the location like it's very hot here. null

Campus Life

The college has only one campus in Tucson. Library, huge stadium, fests, clubs, global parties, Bash events, and Recreation centers are extracurricular. Not only this there are several free workshops going on in the library about 3D printing, Sewing, AR-VR gaming, Hackathon, etc. There are many communities too for each department. There are many football matches and basketball matches held in the stadium. The stadium is very huge. People come here to see all over the country.

Average rent to be paid for sharing room per person would be 400$ for furnished apartment. 350$ for unfurnished maybe. If you are looking for private bedroom it would be roughly around 700 -800$ furnished apartment.

Campus Life

There are many clubs and events that keep happening almost every day. There are two huge recreation centres with state-of-the-art equipment. There is almost a club for everything for example - swimming, dance, art, table tennis, squash, painting, basketball, archery, football, literature, e-sports, health sciences, etc. The WiFi on campus is very fast and covers the entire campus.

I live in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit along with 3 other roommates. It is a fully furnished unit with a TV, Washer/Dryer, Oven, Microwave, Induction Stove, and Dishwasher. The base rent is $2300. Electricity+ utility comes to around $100 per month. So the total per head comes to around $600. There are cheaper places (unfurnished apartments) where the total rent per head is around $450.

They are amazing, I haven't rented and instead stayed in on-campus housing in the Honors Village, but it is an amazing experience if a little expensive at $10,000 per semester.

Dislikes:

  • The weather here in Tucson can get a little hot, which might be a problem for some but otherwise the university of arizona is a great place to be. Some changes in culture might be hard for a foreign grad student to adopt to but otherwise they make sure you feel at home. null

Campus Life

Campus life is good. They have amazing buildings, cafes , and Sports Recreational centres. Campus has wifi all around and is connected well with public transportation.

Dislikes:

  • Some advanced learners might find that the material lacks the depth they desire. Striking a balance between accessibility and challenging content could be a consideration. If you aim to learn the basics to understand what interests you the most and what is just a fun knowledge to know about this coursework would provide much more clarity to those people. null
  • For students who are seeking an extremely rigorous and highly competitive academic environment, the emphasis on making concepts easily understandable and tests enjoyable could be perceived as lacking in challenge. They might be looking for a program that pushes them to their limits academically. null

Campus Life

I have only attended this coursework virtually during COVID so I can't really say about the things.

It was a good experience overall based the content, media outlets, and for non English language students they had notes and each video lecture provided as a long text as well. The university did a great job in providing the resources and time to build this coursework the way it is now. I would say that for basic understanding one should try out these course works more often to learn more things.

Dislikes:

  • "The visa restrictions for non stem major graduates was one disappointing factor. Also Tucson was not a great location to be at. It was far from metropolitan setup. There was not enough job opportunities. " .

Campus Life

Campus Life is not very great. Tucson is a very small town with very limited options. Research facilities are great.

Dorm life is honestly what you make it, a lot of dorms try to host mini-events within their communities. Living on campus is great for people who are social and want to make friends when enrolling here. It's important to remember people are different and you may not get along or be friends with everyone. So always try to respect another person's boundaries or beliefs.

Feels like home and a great place to practice being independent. I also learned they have a lot of research opportunities and teach students about leadership. The community is fantastic they're always looking for new ways to be sustainable and help out the city.

Good medical programs. I see a good opportunity to get into med school. It is also in my home town making my commute easier to school. Also, I have family support to help me as well in school. I also enjoy the campus and the weather.
