What Students Say?
Likes
- University of Arizona has good course curriculum and good rankings as well. Their course is thorough so I chose it.
- University is nice and the exposure and teaching given is pretty good. There are a lot of opportunities to learn and grow in this university and the faculty and staff is great as well. The subjects and testing environment is good aswell.
Dislikes
- The weather here in Tucson can get a little hot, which might be a problem for some but otherwise the university of arizona is a great place to be. Some changes in culture might be hard for a foreign grad student to adopt to but otherwise they make sure you feel at home.
Overall experience at University of Arizona has been good and generally there is a lot to learn from here. looking forward to all the opportunities that are there ahead and to meeting new people from my field.
Course Curriculum
Yes, for now it has been relevant but I have just joined so I need to look at how it goes.
Exams
My scores: GRE 149 Verbal 160 Quants 3.5 writing; IELTS 7; GRE is optional for admit in university. I had mentioned my prior experience and how and why I chose the stream I wanted to pursue.
Internship
I haven't been through this yet as I am a new student, but from what I have heard from seniors is that its obtainable depending on the skillset of student.
Fees
$33,000 approximately for one year is the tuition fee.
Faculty
Student to faculty ratio is pretty good as there aren't as many students and professors are either Post Doc or PHD so they are well qualified.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. They have amazing buildings, cafes , and Sports Recreational centres. Campus has wifi all around and is connected well with public transportation.
Hostel
On an average you need $700 a month to cover off campus housing rent, food and miscellaneous expenses.
