I hope there was a chance to avail scholarship and also provide easy internships
Faculty who had a lot of knowledge and expertise regarding the field and they gave their best in classes and taught very well
The campus was very spacious and clean and the rooms were spacious and clean as well

Dislikes

Some of the staff members in offices or counters were very rude . If asked about any information they would ignore or reply in a very rude manner . That was the worst part.
The paper or tamplet glued on the wall during election times is bad
The process for registration and office purpose for this college is bit poor

My Personal College Experience

Likes

The natural environment is too good , there are big trees planted nd some have grown naturally making it more natureoriented.
The old buildings which has the memories of old batches
The teachers of Pol. Sc are really good , caring nd nurturing.

Dislikes

Unfortunately no good place where we can sit after classes gets over
Some doors nd windows are broken nd not repaired which gives it tooo bad look
New toilets nd washroom can be made as they r less as compared to the students nd staff

Course Curriculum Overview:

Definitely a good platform. Being a student from Political science ive chosen this subject for real life experiences nd field study... It helps me to know about my recent gov nd explain my opinions by doing youth parliaments nd all I'm benefitted!!

I like the way that every teacher is friendly behaviour and every teacher is is very responsible towards their work and studies
I also like the way were everyone is heart felting our principal sir is also very nice in behaviour and also he is very fun loving

Dislikes

I don't like the fact when students don't get chance in the college so what they do they give money to the people and ask them to give admission in the college which is not good just because of this many go
Just because of that good percentage students don't get chance to get admission

Fees and Financial Aid:

For bachelor of arts in general 7,000 something like that and I think it is not very much so many people can afford but so many people also can't afford because of financial issues for that college also provide free admission for the students and now also CM provide every girl should 1200 per month for scholarship

A critical analysis of Gurcharan college silchar

Likes

The behaviour of the professors, they are quite helpful and supportive
Lots of cultural fests and programmes, will help to enhance your social and real life skills
Facilities like library, campus wifi, and big auditorium is a cherry on top

Dislikes

Bad infrastructure of some class rooms, lack of fans, lights in some class rooms
The college's non-teaching staff is lazy, they act like they are working for free here, their behaviour with students is awful

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nothing influenced me to take my cource, I was just good at this subject,tm the real life application of course is almost negligible, the improvements can be done through more internship and practical knowledge through field visit, the exams are not that hard.

Yes , college need many improvement , they should keep dustbins, they need to repair the college
There is nothing to engagement with campus life or quality of social interactions.
The teaching quality is good and there mentorship quality.

Gurucharan College Silchar is a landmark of our town!!

Likes

Our college is one of the most attractive colleges of Silchar.
The landscapes around our college are so picturesque that we click new photos every single day.
Even though I am pursuing English Honours but our faculties uses local language to make us understand better.

Dislikes

College is yet to make a mark in placements as only 25-30% studnets only get placed.

Placement Experience:

Firstly the placementa aren't that great because 3 out of 10 are placed. Either some of us are hired by coaching centres or the private classes and some of us are offered receptionist jobs in elite hotels. Those are the kind of jobs which are currently presented to students of our stream.

Though every colleges have their pros and cons, nothing us perfect I'm not also a good student but i love my college I'll give my best for my studies.

Likes

I like my college area it is enough big.
I like my college campus it is enough big and beautiful.
I like my college's building as the college was established in British time so it reflects many old things.

Dislikes

College campus is remained dirty not clean enough everytime.
College authorities do not have a good communicative relationship with students.
Classes are not done in proper time sometimes teachers are not be available

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the subject english that is why I chose this course, I'm studying ba in English and i will do post graduation in also english, but in our department student teacher relationship is not good enough, I can't communicate with my department's professor as much. The other problem is last year we gave 3 semesters exams together in a year which should be held after 6months, I would like to request the authorities to give concern about that.

Because it was easy at my eyes and students were at high ratio and the teaching methods is casual and the exams were held so soon the semester were also 3months so yey you can say that gc is good very very good

B.A (Hons.) - Hindi review in GC college.

Likes

Support for literary arts : Surprisingly, GC college supports avid writers and hence sometimes calls on avid Hindi writers of Silchar for short sessions.

Dislikes

Bad infrastructure : The infrastructure of this college is not that great comparing to other colleges around the city due to its open campus nature.
Outdated books in library : The library books are not at all up-to-date as all the Hindi books which are there dates back to 2000s.
Bad environment : GC college does not have a proper study environment as distractions around the college exists being in a noisy area.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen Hindi Hons. course due to my keen interest in Hindi as a language. I aspire to be a writer in hindi domain as I had keen interest in writing poems since 7th class. I had taken arts for the very same reason. The Hindi department faculty of GC college is really good and the clarity and explaination of the teachers is very satisfactory in my opinion. The ratio is faculty:student ratio is 1:30 . All faculties are PhD holders in Hindi Domain. The term exams were held timely by the college and to pass the exams, one needs to have clear concept of the subjects taught.

In campus teachers are also good with students
