At all the gurucharan college is a good college .A college which the faculty members are also good and the environment.

All the faculty members bare goods the student relations with faculty are good and 98% there many faculties but most is himasish sir who explains it very well sanjeeb sir who is very strict there are quarterly basis two exm and the pass percentage is 97%

My Personal College Experience

The facualty members are helpful but ultimately it depends on the students how they want to study and secure good marks, ultimately if the students are not cooperativr nd regulat then no good results can be achieved.

Life at G.C College, Silchar

The biotechnology department has 5 experienced professors and they are very understanding and we are able to approach them even after our classes and can contact them via whatsapp. All the 5 faculties of mine are best and helpful in one way or another as they have helped with different things just within a year. I like my faculties, I was heavily unsure whether I have taken the right decision by taking admission but after interacting with the faculties, I have no regrets. There are mainly 2 exams per semester one is unit test which consists of 20 marks, for this the faculties may also assign us assignments rather than taking exams and the other one is end-sem exams, it is done like any other final exam and it is usually of 70 marks. In every semester the total marks is 100 marks out of which you get 20 from Unit test 10 from attendance and 70 from end-sem exam. And these exams are usually easy to moderate and anyone who studies regularly will be able to pass with flying colours. The marking system/checking system is same as Assam State board so anyone coming from cbse board might find it a bit difficult to adjust in the initial days as the writing and marking system differs a bit.

College Experience

Our department conducts classes even with a single student inside the class.
Our department conducts regular classes.

Dislikes

Teaching style could be better. It needs improvement.
Other than the DSC classes, other classes are not even conducted properly properly.

The student-faculty ratio is 140-4. The faculty is approachable to a point. Not everyone encourages the interaction. There are 2 exams in 6 months. They are moderate in level. Not many fail my still it is a significant numbers.

A brief insight into the college & hostel life of Gurucharan college

The faculties of our department are very friendly and responsive and are highly experienced in their field

There are about a total of 5 faculty members in our biotechnology department. All of them are very responsive and friendly with the students and help us with the practicals alot. Out of them Dr. Soumitra nath holds alot of likeness from us. He thoroughly exams each and every topic and also imparts us with some outside knowledge regarding the field of biotechnology which is not usually included within the course. Apart from that the exams take place quite frequently and are of moderate difficulty. Most of the students usually pass the exams.

A critical analysis of Gurcharan college silchar

The faculty to student ratio is good, there are 5 professors in Political Science department, every student is attended properly, Phulante sir in our political science department is my favourite, his talkative and joyful nature is loved by students. HOD of political science department is quite rude sometimes, or else everyone is good. There is only mid sem exam and end sem exam, mid sem exam is mostly assignment, so no tension. And end sem exam is conducted by the university.

Review according to a student's perspective

Faculty to student ratio is not that bad. The teachers are usually approachable. Faculties of commerce and BBA department are very cooperative and helpful. There are mainly two exams in degree courses which is the unit test which is conducted by the college authority and the final semester exam by the assam University. However if there is any failure in those two exams , the exams are conducted again in order to make them pass. The final exams are usually not that easy but it is answerable most of the time. Maybe 1/4th of the students fail but usually most of the students pass.

I liked that there they take regular classes

I don't exactly know the faculty student ratio but as I know it is 1:3,some of them are approachable I personally like Rimpom sir a lot he's such a great teacher I don't like certain office employees that I don't know the name of they are not at all approachable and very rude There are internal exams and finals

All about Gurucharan college

All departments teachers provides all the required and updated knowledge and study stuffs to the students

Guruchar college comprise of lots of faculty members across different departments ,and they are well behaved , in cbcs batch there are 1 ending exams which is eventually conducted at the end of all the semesters and 1 internal exam in the middle of every semesters and faculty teaching skills and nice so out of 40-50 students 90% of students pass their exams
